Hi
We have been trying for about 1yr and were told about 4m ago that DH had low sperm count and high abnormalities, so our Dr recommened IUI. We do not need any injections along the way as my cycle is good but just the daily BT.

This is the 3rd time that we are going through the IUI cycle and I am starting to lose hope that this will work and we may have to do IVF. I have my BT for this cycle tommorrow but have already had AF symptoms plus have started spotting, :fingerscrossed: but not likely.

I am just wanting to know if anyone else out there had AF symptoms and spotting and was still pregnant? And also it seems like everyone doing IUI fell by the 3rd try, did anyone else take longer but still fall on IUI?

Hi Marble,
I'm a newbie at posting too.
Will be on out fourth IUI tommorrow. My DH has ED which means that many months of us wanting to conceive a baby just coultnt happen naturally so we felt we needed assistance. This sadly took us about 6 years to get the guts to do, in denial. I have been prescribed Clomid to increase the odds. First couple of IUIs only had one egg but last time 2 eggs and this time from the scan today 2 eggs possibly three.
The other thing with IUI is when DHs sperm is washed in prep it sorts out the sperm when there is quite of few with abnormalities &after the final prep there is a concentration of viable stuff, and as the old saying goes "you only need one!"
Hope for your sake AF stays away. Its such torture waiting to know.

Thanks for the support. Unfortunately all the wishing and hoping did not work, AF arrived with negative BT on friday. So looks like we are going to try IUI again before starting IVF.

I am feeling a little better than last week and you are right the waiting is the hardest part.

Thanks
Marble
