NT tests being performed later?

I got a referral for my NT today and they wanted me to come in between 13w0d and 13w6d. Is this later than usual?

I'm really worried that if the results are really bad, then by the time further testing is done and decisions are made, I would be 14/15 weeks and that would be a whole different kettle of fish, and a lot less options.

Am I worrying about nothing? Would my options be the same whether something is picked up at 12 weeks or 10 days later?

I hate thinking about this sort of stuff, but I don't want feel my decision would be forced due to time contraints.

Hey there im pretty sure that is the normal testing time. i was under the impression that the nt scans get done between 12 - 14 weeks i had mine this time at 13w 2d. Im sure everything will b fine but can understand ur worry. Hope everything is ok and wishing u all the best

I work at a radiology practice, and while we don't do them at the couple of practices I work at, our larger practices do them between 11 weeks 3 days and 13 weeks 6 days.

The test can be done between 12 and 14 weeks. Anytime outside this area it is not very acurate. I had mine at 12weeks and had a very bad result so chose to have the CVS. Everything turned out fine.

Even if I chose to wait to have the amino at 16weeks all options still would have been the same. I think your options will be different after 20 weeks.

My only concern would be if you wait to do your scan so close to the 14week mark and you get a high risk I would be wondering if thats why.

Thanks for the comments. I ended up compromising at booking in for 12w 5d.
