Hi all,

I know this is a silly question as i have been through labour before and i should know.

But could i be having pre labour contractions.

I have had a few period like pains today lasting up to 45 seconds.

And i keep going to the toilet like my body wants to clean out my system.

Or could i be coming down with something.

Any ideas would be great.

Could be I had similar thing for 2 days before I had my dd. I was up all night going to the loo!

Thanks i just hope it isnt as bub is due in Feb.. Can anyone tell me if its pre labour and bub does come would he make it seems he will be quite prem?

Generally a baby born before 24 weeks is not considered viable having said that when my boys were in the nursery there were a few 22 and 23 weekers there also. I think that if you are concerned about the pains you shoud go to the hospital and get it checked out ASAP if you are in pre term labour there are drugs they can give you to stop the contractions.

:iagree: go and get checked out, as PP said there are drugs that can be used!
Generally speaking a bub born at 28 weeks can survive quite easily that is without any unforseen problems.....
