I am currently toilet training my 2 year old and have been doing this now for about two weeks, this is the 3 week.
When we started we were only have a few accidents, then one day she did a poo in the toilet which was great.
Now she is wearing underpants she goes to the toilet where ever she is even if the potty is next to her. If I see her doing it I take her straight to the potty or big toilet to finish it in there, but by the time I get there, she does nothing in it. I have tried her in pull ups (training pants) and she doesn't tell me she needs to go when she gets the wet sensation. She is basically happy to run around in a wet pull up.
I have also tried taking her often and now she is refusing to go to use the toilet, she basically throws a tantrum.
She does tell me aftewards that she has done a wee even if its in the potty or on the floor. She has also taken herself to the potty (so it appears she does know when she has to do a wee). If she does a poo in the undies or pull ups, she tells us but it is difficult for us to wipe her bottom cause she doesn't want to lay down on the poo, obviously she doesn't like the sensation so we have tried putting her onto the toilet, once again refusing and getting really upset. We basically have to wipe her bottom standing up, once we remove the poo, we have to convince her to lay down (easier for us to wipe her bottom). I do know the poo is the last thing to do in the toilet.
I haven't been getting upset when she has the accidents (even if they are deliberate), and give her a sticker when she does a wee in the potty or big toilet even if we take her. She is now over the sticker idea.
Sometimes I take her to the toilet/potty and she does nothing, then 30 seconds later, she stands where ever she is and does the wee
How can I get her to tell me she needs to wee before she does it because I am getting annoyed that she goes where ever she feels like it.?
I hope someone can give me something new to do?
Cheers
