I am 40 and am 5 weeks pregnant. :smiliedance:

I have a 15 (F), 13 (M), 11 (M) year old plus a 7 month old (F). All from the same relationship. :valentine: Hubby had a vasectomy in 2000 and then decided he wanted to get it 'undone', which he did in April 07. It cost us nothing to have it reversed and it worked, obviously, though not straight away. :yelclap:

Actually, after the vasectomy reversal, they told us his body was now rejecting his sperm so we'd probably need to use IVF. My age was also a factor. We declined and said, "If it happens, it happens. We've already been blessed with 3 kids." And...it did, just after my 39th birthday, in August 08. I needed a little time to come to terms with it, I can tell you, but was then excited at the thought of another new life.

I live in Knox council shire and love it out here. Am a teacher on Maternity Leave. I try and get out to BABS, ABA, 1st Mums (yes, I asked to go in one as it'd been years) and New Mums (at church, once a month). May get back into playgroups and music group at the start of next year. Baby not a great sleeper but getting there. I'm tired a lot and feeling it at my age.

 Hi and welcome to BH :shakehands:

:yelclap: Congratulations on your pregnancy :yelclap:

I was 37 when I had my youngest child. He is nearly 2.

You've had tremendous good luck in your TTC journey and I wish you the greatest continuing luck with your pregnancy.

I look forward to seeing you around the forums.

Alas, my parenting journey has not been all joy!

We got married very young, in 1990. I was 21, he was 20. A year later we were pregnant. Then, we found out it was twins (mostly likely identical twin boys). Everyone was so excited.

Sadly, in 1992, at 28 weeks exactly, the twins were born. One was dead already, and had been for just under 10 weeks. (He was alive at the 18 and a half week ultrasound) With no warning that the babies were coming, I didn't get to have steroids to mature the live baby's lungs. So, it was a sad outcome. Nearly put me off the whole baby thing as my heart just broke. I've never cried like that before and hope to never do it again. :rain:

So...I don't take the miracle of life for granted one bit.
