My ds was bornt on the 10th of December, was due the 15th but decided to come on his terms which meant earlyish.

I also do all my christmas / birthday shopping at the same time usually in the mid year christmas toy sales, I also do my dds shopping then as well as she is a nov baby.

 We have four birthday's in December, so we do most of our Christmas and birthday shopping at the mid years sales. We don't buy any toys for Tom as he gets to many so we just buy him clothes and books.

Thomas ~ 4
Hilary ~ 18
Felicity & Nicholas ~ 21
Angela ~ 23

My lil girl was due on Christmas Eve aswell but decided to hold off for me and came on the 29th! I try not to stress about it all as it can take over the whole spirit of the year but is not relaxing like it used to be. We do all our shopping through the year whenever w can grab a bargain, just learning though to buy 2 or3 sizes bigger in clothesbecause by the time Christmas or her birthday roll around she is fitting them and doesnt get much wear out of them! Would just like a birthday that doesnt fall between November and April!!!!

This is an old thread, but i'm new so throwing in my DS b'day on 16th.

I make a major deal over his B'day and have huge over decorated birthday parties and try for the weekend before his birthday (if it doesn't fall on a weekend). Birthday party planning starts early as xmas decorations take over after halloween.

The mid year toy sales get a good workout and I will layby the 'big' presents then. Who knows what they will be into by December, so toys generally wait.

I've thought of doing a mid year party (cos i love parties) and maybe giving him money to spend at toy sales mid year as there is a major overload of stuff at the end of the year.

I also host the neighbourhood children's xmas party... so it's party planning for the whole of December!!!

At first I thought we would wait til after his birthday to put up the xmas decorations, but don't want him to miss out on the excitement....
