Hey,
I gave birth to DD at King Eddies, and was seen by the midwives at the hospital for all my appointments, and gave birth with midwives, nothing to do with doctors or obstetricians.

Now that I dont live in Perth any more, and am pregnant again, Im really nervous about the set up here in Bunbury. I was told you see a GP through pregnancy, who will then deliver your baby when you go into labour. No appointments at the hospital, nothing to do with the hospital.

I really loved my birth with DD, and now Im really scared that I wont have such a positive experience with the next.

Can those in Bunbury please give me more information about the set up here, and also your stories of experience too.

Hi and welcome to Bunno!
Firstly are you going public or private?
I too gave birth at and went through Kind Eddies for my first birth, then had my second DD in Bunbury RH.
You can go to hospital to see midwives on Fridays after 20 weeks, so do not feel you will miss out.
BRH is IMO FAR FAR better than King Eddies, as there are only 3 birthing suites and a few midwifes so it is a more personal experience. The girls in Bunbury are awesome.
If you have any more questions post here.

Thank you :) I feel so much more at ease about it all. The way my doctor put it was like i had no choice and that scared me a bit.

Let me know if I can help! Like I said BRH was awesome, compared to KEMH...
