any kiwis get the Special Bennifit from c/l??

Just as the title says im just wanting to see if any other kiwis get the special bennifit from centre link? I really think that they are totally under paying it to me as the calculator says one thing, then they keep disputing it when i call, but really thought that the calculator on there web site is pretty much spot on.

Anyway if some one could let me know and ill pm you with my concerns??

Im a kiwi and on the SPP so may be able to help, but I am also an Australian citizen as I have been here since I was a young child, have you got citizenship?

If u arrived after Feb 2001, and don't have a special centrelink certificate (no longer given out) and weren't in Austral;ia for a long period of time prior to 2001 then u aren't eligible for any centrelink payments.. only Family assistance office payment.. In order to qualify u need to go through the permanent residency process like everyone else

Thanx for your replies girls, but thats why i was asking specifically if anyone was on the "special bennifit" , as i am, but im just prettry sure they are calculating it wrong for me, bit confused and centrelink dont help much.

Singlemamma2a, lucky u, I got here a couple of months after the cut off period for us kiwis so cant get the SPP:(. Would apply for perminant residancy but dont have the spare $2400 and I dont fit into any of the catagories, even though the kids are aussies!! And cause the kids are aussies, if i moved back home i dont get it there either lol

I feel your pain!!!!! I have a dutch husband and a disabled daughter so we are totally screwed here.. until the laws change we can never apply 4 PR cause our disabled daughter automatically declines us!!!!

Thinks it funny we still get baby bonus and FHOG though
