Cycle question

Hi all

What do you reckon is day one of the cycle? Say if AF comes at 6pm is that day one or do you consider the next day (being a full day) as day one? IFYKWIM. We are about to ttc (#2) and cant afford to let the tick tock tick tocking of the biological clock to get out of hand. Me 37 DH 39. Thanks:)

I think CD1 is the first day you see red flow, whether this is at 5am or 10pm.

I think CD1 is the first day you see red flow, whether this is at 5am or 10pm. I think there is a cut of somewhere, heard someone else mentioning it, but yes, if its 6pm you notice red flow, then I would say that day.

We have been using Chlomid for a number of months and are beginning an IVF journey, with each round of Chlomid we were told by our doctor that day 1 is the day that you wake up with a flow, so if you get it at 6pm then day 1 would be the following day. Anyway that is what we had to follow from Repromed. Don't know if that will help you at all.

We tried for over 2 years to fall PG with DD, and I was charting my BBT for much of that time.

I often came across this problem, as my flow would often decide to arrive around 6pm.

My flow would often start as spotting, where it would only last as spotting for a few hours before the real "flow" actually started. Because spotting is not considered the start of your actual period, I would record it only as spotting if I had no real flow before I went to bed. If I had red blood before I went to bed that night, then I recorded it as AF.
