While watching Sunrise morning programme yesterday they bought up ...

CLOTH V Disposables

A letter from someone was read saying how there was no difference at all between using cloth and the other ones.
Koch said the letter was obviously written by a disposable mum, mel and Nat argued about it. They use Disposables....

So , this morning Koch handed them some Eenee Nappy pockets with the biodegradable padding, they were not too impressed.

I think all those Clothies should email SUNRISE 7 and tell them how good etc cloth is, i emailed them yesterday.

It was on the ROSS WALL thing ...

lots of women DID contact sunrise.. in fact I know that a FREE (very valued) nappy was sent to sunrise earlier this year.. (during Real Nappy Week)

they ignored it - and did not discuss modern fitted cloth at all

I emailed them yesterday (as did many clothies from another site I frequent) and yet this morning the only nappy they discussed was the eenie...

that makes me a little sus.. as I know for certain that they have run a story on that nappy brand before.. (they showed an interview from america)

- do they have connections with this brand?? and why cant anyone else be promoted?? there are awesome SAHMs in australia making a stunnig product... (sigh)
there are SO many options with cloth ..

stupid tv people  I guess if all the cloth mummies keep emailing them they will eventually take notice...maybe someone should offer to go on the show and tell them about all the options.

I know I only found out about all the different options thru this site

I thought they'd covered the Eenie's previously. It was recently too wasn't it?

I sat there wondering why the girls looked so surprised at the nappies when I was certain they'd only recently covered them.

Someone who lives down there should stick a sign in the window like you see all the other gawking tourists do each morning.

Something like "touch my cloth bottom Kochie":p

Im going to email them also & say that i can bring different brands in etc see how we go from there !

I thought Mel was more prissy, only because Nat breastfed and Mel didn't.

(No offence to anyone who didn't breastfeed, there is nothing wrong with formula);)

Hey guys, what is a 'modern cloth' nappy. I would much prefer to use cloth but the intitial expense turned me off (on the modern ones i saw), i have regular cloth nappies but never used them, mainly because none of DS's clothes would fit him cause the bum was too big from all the padding, i also couldn't figure out how to fold them and put them on properly, and as soon as they were wet they came undone.... i guess i just couldn't be bothered at the time. I have heard of 'ezynappy' which look fantastic, but are expensive, are there any cheaper and still functional alternatives??

Also, Kochie is an idiot, i used to like him but now he just seems to 'blow his own horn' a little bit too much!

I missed this program but looked up their website. The Organic Trading Co was actually featured on Kochies business program. It was shown to be in trouble for a number of reasons. I think Kochie is helping his program end up with a good-news story for small businesses (the couple who run it were in dire straits last time they were on his show). If people go to them to buy their Eenees then business might pick up which would be great for David "love myself" Kochie. As for Mel and Nat - they have a huge prissy-factor for ones so young!!

Don't think it was a very well researched piece if it only talked about Eenies as there are so many types of modern cloth out there (so confusing for someone like me entering cloth-land for the first time). I will be trying Eenees as well as some others to find the best system for us (a friend who is a confirmed greenie loves Eenies so that's a good testimonial for me!)
