Hi Everyone,

Always thinking of new business ideas to get me back to working from home and keep coming back to the same idea.

I really would like to set up an internet and mail order business for children's pajamas aged 2-12 years.

They would only be made of cotton and cotton products and would be stylish, cute and funky - no chracter pajamas.

I would do s summer and winter range each year.

There would be both products made in Australia and imported products.

So my question is would you buy your children's pajamas online every season if you knew they were good quality and lasted for the whole season. Or would you buy by mail order.

I need to see what kind of response I get to see if it would work. I have the basics set up but it will take time to get it all going.

I guesss I am aiming to be the "Peter Alexander" of children's pajamas and lounge wear but can;t make them myself to start with as don't have the capital.

Anyway - enough rambling, would really appreciate your thoughts as mums would be my target market.

Would advertise on this site and in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane Child Etc.

Website would be easy to navigate and very hip looking and already have the name and domain cheekimonkey.com.au - what do you think about the name!

DD is only 8 months old but for myself I'm a Peter Alexander girl all the way and have been for 5 years so I'm a definite yes. Even though his pj's are in stores now I still order them online.

Thanks - that was fast - will be interested to know how many say yes.

Peter Alexander made some kids pjs for a while but stopped and no one else seems to over a big range.

How much would you pay for kids pjs - would $29.95- $39.95 be too much if great quality and style.

I went to the Peter Alexander store at Warringah Mall the other day and loved it - My dream is to do that for kids - Ahh well we all have to have dreams

No sorry I wouldn't pay that much. They grow out of them too quick to worry about quality.

If they were cheap I would.

I bought a pair of pj's for Jesse a couple of years ago that were the softest cotton ever - I bought them from Myer.
I've wanted to buy more pairs like this but have never been able to find really soft cotton (all the ones I've looked at since are a heavier cotton and not as nice).
If you have pairs of pj's like this I'll be sure to buy!!
Good luck

Mamaduke - I bought DS a pair of light cotton pyjamas for summer from the history making clearance sale at Myer the other day for $10! They are nice! The only problem is that they are an 0 and not sure if DS will still fit into them in summer.

I am a pyjama girl and my kid will be a pyjama boy. I come from a long line of pyjama wearers.

I would buy them online and would pay $19.95 if they were of good quality.
