Good GP's on Gold Coast for TTC

Hi ladies,

Ive just joined Bub Hub and Im wanting to start TTC (seriously) soon.

Just wondering if anyone can give any recomendations for good GP's to go and see regarding TTC???

Also wondering what exactly should i be asking for? Whats tests etc should i be getting?

I am on the Gold Coast and am willing to go anywhere between here and Brisbane city.

have you been trying long to ttc cause i dont think they do tests until you've been trying for awhile. a doctor will be able to tell you the best days to do the deed so to speak and every doc should be equipped with that info. good luck

Hi Karen, welcome to bub hub, witht he ttc and going to see the doc, you can basically go a see anyone, they will just give you a health check and give you some pointers and tell you what you should be taking etc beforehand (eg. folic acid)

you'll probablyjust get a blood test to check for imunities and other things, and thats about it,

good luck with the ttc, just go out and find a doc, its trial and error really, with finding a doc that you are happy with, what doc i have may not bee good for you.

anyways i go to the helensvale medical centre, they are lovely in there, only one doc in there bulk bills though, all the others charge, I havn't had any problems with them at all

oh yes i should of added my gp (dr islam) at oxenford medical centre (they only bulk bill children and health care card holders) is a father of one and been ttc for awhile now for number 2 so he is quite sensitive to the issue and will be very thourough

Hi Karen,

Before I got married, I saw my Dr to get all the pre pregancy screening tests done to check all my levels and to make sure my immunities were up.

They have a pathology onsite downstairs. They dont bulk bill, but from time to time they will for certain circumstances. He is fantastic with my family and has been with us every step of the way from the time I was pregnant. They do bulk bill children till the age of 16.
