Hey Ladies (and Gents)
Just wanted to start a thread where we can all brag about our kids. Not sure how it will go but feel free to join in :p
My lil man is almost 10 months old and it amazes me everyday watching him develop. I am sooo proud that I (oh and my fiance ) created such a wonderful human being.
I love it, he has started waving tata's now its so damn cute and he tells us off lol, he says ah ah ah, I suppose he hears that alot through the day:laughing:.
Oh and we have got 3 teeth in the last week so proud he hasn't even been grumpy just been dribbling enough to fill a bloody swimming pool lol.
Well like I said feel free to join in and discuss anything you want about milestones, things that make us laugh etc

Awww, that's so sweet. He's at such a fun age... if only we could sell drool by the cup full, we'd be rich I tell ya!
At the moment, both mine are asleep so I can't speak highly enough about them. But... my 6month can give you a head ache in two seconds flat - teething is so much fun.
And my 4yo has an intense fear of spiders, ants anything that crawls and tells me that me and daddy are her 'souped up heroes' because we 'squish bugs and tell them we're the boss'.
Love my kiddies. (Good thread )

My Ds is starting to try to talk. Today he had his toy phone and he said hello into it. I asked him "are you phoning me?" he answered "NO!":goodvibes: He is 2.5 years old.
My DD is starting to pull herself forward commando crawling. She is also starting to give kisses. She is 10 and a half months.

My big brag is that DS is cruising! And last week he finally figured out how to get back down to the ground from a standing position (without just letting go and falling on his bum).
And today he learned that it's not OK to grab the cat while he's lying down.... and it only took two smacks and one small scratch that barely broke the surface LOL After that, he has figured out it's better to just go PAST the cat, and not try to grab hold of it.
(Oh, the smacks were from the cat, not me LOL)
Oooh - since we can brag about the older ones too.... DD just had three tests at school this week and she got 1st in Listening, 2nd in Maths, and 3rd in reading..... but she got put forward a couple of years ago so is competing with kids a year older than her! Clever girl!

My brag is what an empathic, wonderful little girl my DD has become. We were discussing that in Africa, they have park rangers, when she asked why, I said partly to keep the hunters away. She asked why the hunters killed animals and I explained that their children were hungry and their families had nothing, and that they sold elephant tusks etc on the black market to make money.
She thought for a moment and she said wanted to set up a bank account with her money so she could send it to the hunters and their families so they didn't need to kill the animals. I was so proud of how thoughtful and empathic she is :sunshine:

We read to her A LOT....starting from when she was in my tum.....I read her Beatrix Potter books. A bit obsessive in regards to reading in this house!!! We had a rule of a book after each meal...didn't matter if it was short or long, it just had to be read & listened to. Looks like it's had an impact!!! :yelclap::yelclap::yelclap: Despite her reading Captain Underpants books at the moment being obsessed with POO!!!

ooh ooh where do I start? I am shockingly pround of my bubba!! :p (pick the first time Mummy!!!). DD is 10.5 months old and today started saying pupo for puppies and booboo for booby!! she says pay for plane and points to the sky to show you, waves tat tar, gives big open mouth kisses and high fives! she is walking with her walker everywhere (although she loves to ram the cr*p out of everything which is just lovely :D). She absolutely loves her books and has been turning them up the right way since she was about 5.5 months old which I thought was pretty cool! how do they learn that stuff so quick????
I apologise for my embarrassing boast :o I just think she is so cool!!

Ooooh, I love this!
I try not to overly brag about bub because if I do with mothers group mums or sometimes even playgroup mums, I feel like I should pull back when mums say "oh, my baby doesn't do that yet"
SO! Here goes!!! Keep in mind, bub is turning 1 year old in 3 days.
Jasper can walk, run, jump (well, when he's holding onto something like his playpen or cot) he's started dancing crazy-like which is just TOO funny! He can climb, he can climb up onto the couch, he can climb stairs, he even made a fairly good attempt at a ladder!!! DP and I were shocked!
He's a great problem solver - which sometimes its really annoying! - like he's worked out how to open the fence into the kitchen, so I propped a chair against it with the chair legs through the bars and it took him about 10 seconds to work out he needed to pull the chair over backwards and then open the gate as usual.
He says "da-dee" "mama" "bubba" "book" "ball" "bubble"
If I say "ta" he gives me whats in his hand and sometimes says "ta" back.
If I say "bye" he waves.
He's very social, very happy, very kissy and cuddly!
He's a wonderful child to be incredibly proud of!

Deep breath...ok
#1 - Tested 17% in the state for her English Comp. Apparantly has straight A's 'cept for maybe PE I think. Well and truly ready for highschool next year and is going to begin the year AHEAD which is a good start to a life of highschool drudgery.
#2 - Has has a lot of issues with his behaviour at school but lately has been improving in his behaviour AND his school work. Apparently finished his maths book, which, if you know him you'd know how much struggle he has to actually finish ANYTHING. We WILL get there! I am starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel now.
#3 - Seems to be turning out like #1. Very smart! Seems to be getting straight A's this year except for PE again (ok we're not a sporty family LOL ) Maturing quite a lot this year, seems to be a very well organised and enthusiastic child.
#4 - Well right now she and I are at loggerheads most of the time. It's the age I think but she's really getting on my nerves. But she is a very sweet and caring child when she's not whinging!
#5 - Oh she is sooooooo cute! Very demanding but I think that's because she's so clued in.
#6 - Learning new things everyday. Crawling now and trying to pull himself up. Started to be able to eat better, which is good. And he does the most cutest and most affectionate things.

My DS started saying 'Dadad' a couple of weeks ago. We have been away visiting my family and had to leave his Dad at home, and he started saying it as soon as we left.
Now that we're back home, he's stopped saying it so much, so I like to think he knows that Dadad means Dad, and he was missing his dad while we were away. :D
He is also trying his hardest to start crawling, and is managing a bit of a backward commando crawl at the moment:p.

DD is 29 months old and talks and talks and talks - not just nonsense but proper conversations and can make up her own songs.
And she's fully TT during the day, even thinking about trying her at night as she's been dry for most nights over the last two weeks (I think we've had one wet nappy in that time).

My girl in 9 months old..she has been crawling (shuffling) backwards for about 6 weeks now..and just this week she has started going forwards :yelclap:...she uses the able to stand up and can take a couple steps then falls down...
she is alwas saying mumma..dadda..sometimes to much!!!!!..and cat is ca..ca..
she dances to music by flapping hands around and gi rating..rather funny..she comes to see bands in the arvo with us..and sits on side stage and dances (everyone goes crazy over her)...
she is such joy and i could go on ..but dont want to make you :barf:
My brag is what an empathic, wonderful little girl my DD has become. ....
She thought for a moment and she said wanted to set up a bank account with her money so she could send it to the hunters and their families so they didn't need to kill the animals. I was so proud of how thoughtful and empathic she is :sunshine:
What a beautiful little girl, great job parents! This is precisely how I hope to bring my boy up.
Hmm, what to brag about? F can scream louder and longer than any baby known to man since my cousin was born 45 years ago  He is also very advanced at eating.
On a serious note, as much as it drives me utterly insane I am glad my boy is so so emotional and hope he is able to hold onto his passions as he grows up, but also learn ti regulate a little - while he screams louder than other babies he also laughs louder and more often. This is isn't really a 'proud' thing because it is just his innate personality but I have learned to embrace it and love it that now when we go out people comment all the time on what an infectiously happy little soul he is.
