Hi everyone, I have a really important question. A friend has had her morphology scan results and everything was normal except for the limb length the report said that these are 'soft signs of aneuploidy (down syndrome)' Has anyone had similiar results? What was the outcome? She is really scared so any feedback would be really helpful. Thankyou

I got told that DD's legs were 'short' at my 20week scan. They said it was on the lowest percentil line...whatever that is...I had to have another scan at 30weeks to check she was growing properly. They said as long as her legs were growing at the same rate as the rest of her it probably wasn't a problem. I was also told that because that was the only sign of any probs that it was probably nothing to worry about.

DD was born last november. She is perfectly fine, nothing wrong with her at all...she does have short legs, but so do I :D

Hope everything works out for your friend :)

No probs :) Hopefully her OB explains everything to her.
Did she have a nromal scan or a 3D one? They used the 3D machine for my second scan and said they couldn't see anything to indicate any probs...I had my scans done at the hospi so didn't get a choice of the type of scan I had coz I wasn't paying. I was told that because they can see things alot clearer on the 3D scans they can give a more certain, but not definate of course, answer about if there's a prob or not.

Oh, and my DD was normal size when she was born too, she was 7lb 15oz and 50cm long. I was told to expect a 'smaller than average' baby.
