Ok i have another dilema (they are everlasting with my family!!!)
I am having my c-section on the 13th of December according to the midwife cos the hospital does electives on a wednesday at 38 weeks and thats the date she told me i would go in.
DH's mother is coming over on the 10th or 11th and staying till the 20th and my brother is coming over on the 11th also and staying till the 27th.
DS's birthday is on the 17th and I want to have a party for him that MIL can attend but it has to be on a weekend. According to people i have asked you dont get discharged from a c-section till 4 days post surgery (not counting the day you have it) so that puts me getting let out anytime from the 17th onwards.
So far my only choices of days for DS's birthday so MIL can attend are: Getting her to come over on the morning of the 10th and have that avo. Now i have realised that by doing that my brother misses out on the birthday party...............and i have to have the party on a weekend because everyone works.
If I organise it for the weekend after my c-section chances are i might not get out in time because last time my bp didnt go down till a week after the c-section (and we are talking about readings like 175/150) and they wouldnt let me out till 6 days post surgery.
I feel bad that people are going to miss out but MIL has been complaining about not celebrating her grandsons b'day and thats why i want to do something for her. I was actually going to have a birthday party/baby shower to save time.
Does anyone have any advice?
Should i organise it so MIL can celebrate her grandsons b'day and not worry about my brother since he never remembers about anyones birthday or comes over for them? I am the type of person that hates potentially upsetting anyone................
