The nerve sheaths don't finish myelinating until 2 years old, the myelination is a crucial part of the development of the central nervous system. I haven't made a final decision yet, but if I do have DS vax'd it won't be until after his 2nd birthday.
And it says in the article:
His team will now carry out further studies to test this possibility in animals and eventually in babies.
I wonder who would allow this to be tested on their newborn baby???

Im sure many parents who have newborns that have come down with illnesses that we vax for i would say would be one group of parents.
Watching a newborn with an illness that could be prevented through vaccination would make most parents ponder it.
