Well ladies, moving from Sydney to Brisbane for the remaining period whilst my hubbie is away is the BEST THING I could have done. If anyone else has their life in limbo whilst waiting for their loved ones to return from a lengthy deployment I would STRONGLY recommend moving closer to family and friends.
We were never meant to live a life alone. By isolating ourselves we are leaving ourselves and our emotions open to attack by anyone, including our own self. I thought that I would have to go on anti-depressants - but that wasn't the problem. The problem was loneliness and isolation.
Please, if anyone out there is feeling isolated and alone and there is an option (even if its not the easiest move to make) then I urge you to take it. Having family and friends around is the best thing I could have done - and I just want to encourage anyone else going through the same thing now to be ballsy and make the move.
