DD2 is short slighted as well as a few other problems with her eyes which are getting worse.
She will need to have glasses, possibly as of next month. If not by their birthday next May.
Does anyone have experience with glasses on little people?
You can get some that will wrap around the ear that is what Miki has and there are also some that have a strap around the back of the head she had them also but was less than impressed with them.
From the the opthimologist told me the worse the eyes are the more likely they are to keep them on as they notice the difernce them selfs
We re not stict with DD glassed at all as hers are mainly to see at a distance not up close, she wil have to wear them more at school.

No experience myself TT as you know but I've spoken with plenty of mums whose little ones wore glasses from as young as 3 months
They said the same that as the child found they could see better with the glasses they wore them and if the eyesight was really bad then it wasn't really an issue to get the child to wear glasses
There's a few congenital glaucoma groups on facebook where the issue is discussed frequently
:hugs: Sorry to hear her eyes are getting worse
Thanks for the advice Mikenzees mum, I've been trying to get DD to wear sunglasses so we can get out of the house but she hates them and it may be because they're the ones that strap around the head
I might see if I can find something that will wrap around the ears
Not sure when Jade will have glasses but we were told she will need them too

I've worn glasses since I was about 18 months old... my parents tried every trick under the sun, including the straps on them. They just persevered and they eventually became a habit. I'd try the headband strap first since she's so young, we have one on DS' sunglasses and it depends on his mood if he wears them or not. Once she's able to understand more I would let her choose some chains as I remember that being a really exciting thing to do - my parents pretty much let me choose my frames as well, even if they were horrid as i was more likely to wear them :D (And looking back I also believe that seeing me in some of those frames gave them some amusement ).

Thanks Girls.
Skye - Aleah's left eye is her main trouble, she has trouble focusing it. Can really notice when she trying to put food in her mouth.
She does have sunnies with a band that goes around her head. More than happy to wear them.

TT - There's a website called Babies with Glasses, I won't post it on here because it has it's own forum but its full of useful info and stories.
If you google it you'll find it.
Jade sometimes can't see at all with just the left eye and when she can she sees very little and has problems with depth perception.
She's adapting to it though.
I'd say we'll be going down a similar path of patching and glasses.
