View Full Version : How many prams do you own?
Well I'm just about to purchase my third pram ... to the complete horror of my DH!
I have a 4-wheel Steelcraft Acclaim which has a reversible handle (great for when bubs is little) and is easily to handle at the shops and can fit through tight spaces and checkouts, etc. I also have a red Steelcraft layback stroller, which I originally bought when we went on holidays to Qld with our DD1, then 9 months old. I have now bought a 2nd hand, but almost brand new, Valco Runabout three-wheeler as an incentive for me to hit the streets and go walking/exercise more.
So now I'm wondering if that is a lot? What do you have?

I have downsized to 2! Steelcraft Strider DLX and a Baby Club umbrella stroller.
At one stage (before dd4) I had 2 umbrella strollers, a Mothers Choice pram (was pretty good but can't remember the name of it), a Valco Twin Runabout2 (loved this one!) and a single jogger but I can't remember the brand (wasn't real keen on this one).
Nah I don't think you have a lot, you just have one for every occasion :D.

I'm going to get my 3rd, but 2nd in working order soon...
The Strider take 2 is my main one, and will continue being my main, almost having 2 under 2 :D
I'm getting the steelcraft profile, both because the unity capsule clicks into it and because I'd like something lighter for when DS doesn't want to walk and bub is in a sling... for whenever I only want/need one in the stroller anyway

I had 2. One was a light-weight, one-hand fold pram that was great for shopping, easy to steer, great for taking places, but horrible for walking unless it was on cement walking paths. The other one was a PITA to fold so I never did. It was great for walking over unlevel ground so that was our walking pram.

P&T, great for walking and long day trips
Steelcraft layback umbrella stroller, great for quick trips into the shop.
I have 2, a maclaren vogue stroller, great for everything, but you cant really get to the shopping basket if its in layback, but is great for everything else. I love it
then recently i bought a mothers choice shopping buggy to take to the shops, which is great cos there is a little snack tray for you and bub, and a big basket. rubbish for anywhere other than the shops though!! The only reason we bough this one is i kept going to work and forgetting to take the pram out so DF was stuck at home all day with bub, no car and no pram.
3
1 mil bought, big three wheeler lump of uselessness
1 i bought so i ddnt have to use the aforementioned lump
1 stroller i bought because my pram was getting too big and bulky for my toddler. Dunno what types they are.

We have 5 prams. 3 twin prams & 2 single strollers. 2 of the twin prams arent in action. One is for spare parts, the other is a brilliant pram even better than the one i'm using now but can i find the correct tyres & wheels for it NO! its from a discontinued line & nothing fits it. The two strollers are great for taking the kiddies out with a friend or my partner.

wow, didnt realise so many people had a heap of prams. we had 2 prams, only got the second as the first one had the wheels go on them. both of those were second hand and i dont have either anymore. atm we use a stroller but very rare to use it. that was also second hand given to me by the person who gave me the pram to replace the other one.
I am amazed at how many prams some people have. Why bother?
I have two - one pram and one stroller.

For different occasions. Depends where we go to what pram/s we take.
My triple doesnt fit through a standard door way, so i cant take it may places.

Sometimes its different occasions, sometimes different looks I guess... and sometimes you get one and it just doesn't do what you wanted it to!!
1 child, 1 pram (steelcraft strider).
I would like another one though - one of those city mini ones that you can fold up with one hand. But I think they're quite expensive. I was going to get one of those umbrella things but my partner is 6'3" and it looked absolutely ridiculous.:D
I have 2 carriers though (baby bjorn and an ergo).

2 - only brought a second because the first broke and doesn't fold down, so we keep it for walks and have one that does fold down for car trips.
Thinking of buying a new one, with a toddler attachment, for the new bub but not sure yet.
I've got 2- A Bertini X6 which I loooove, it's the best pram for walking and is super easy to steer, it lays flat too so it's great for DD to sleep in. We've also got a stroller that we keep in the car for when we go shopping ect. :)

I have the city elite, and it is heaven to fold up. All you do is lift a single strap
I'm definitely in the minority here, having only one pram! It's perfect for everywhere we go though, and I love it. I'm looking into getting a lighter pram soon though, for travelling.
Just 1, though I have had a few previous to this. First 1 was faulty so returned and as it was discontinued I was given a store credit, second was a hand me down from my cousin which I never actually liked but it did the job between pram 1 being returned and pram 3 being purchased.
I often wonder if I should get a stroller, but hmmm I'm undecided, I don't think I truely need it, I've got an ergo and a moby so I think we're ok:)

3 :D
I have a 3 wheeler that I bought second hand for when bubs was little, had the basinett for when we went out to dinner or something (he was generally carried otherwise).
Then I bought a valco bee navigator as it was a really good price and SO much lighter than my other pram. I love it and I can flip it out of my boot and get it up with one hand if need be.
We also have a quicksmart stroller which we bought when we were away on holidays. We had intended to go for 2 days, planned on using the ergo I had bought... ended up staying over a week, bubs hated the ergo so we bought this.
Will probably be selling number 1 & number 3, definitely number 1... number is quite handy though as it folds up to not much bigger than a briefcase.

For marathons at the mall, walks around the neighbourhood, going out to brekky, and quick trips to the supermarket or farmers markets, I have my Strider.
For the weekly grocery shop, going out for ice cream, or visiting, I have my $30 babycarrier.
For everything else, I have two pairs of arms (mine, and DP's). LOL

I've had 5 prams (though one was a gift, one we found as hard trash) I only currently have 2, because we've sold 2 and one is sitting on the balcony because I haven't been bothered to relist it on ebay.
So I currently have a Maclaren Techno and an Adventure buggy with a reclinging toddler seat. Which I'm very happy with.
And, though I've nevered owned one that city elite is amazing!!! As a part of my job, I spend a lot of time rocking babies back and forth in their prams to go to sleep and I must say, the smoothest steering pram I've ever push is the city elite, it gets my  I was tempted by the city mini before bub was born when I saw how is collapsed.

I had 4 but have 3 now. But am looking into getting another.
First one I got before DD1 was born. Its a Steelcraft Transaction w/ bassinette attachment. This was great when both my girls were first born.
We then got the Maclaren stroller for when we went on holidays cause its easy to fold and push. Although we don't use it mush now as the breaks don't lock (must get that fixed).
Third Pram was off ebay cause it was a bit too much out of our price range brandnew. It was the p&t v1. Loved it so much!
I then entered a comp on the net when I saw the p&t limited edition PINK CAMO!!! and guess what I won it:smiliedance: My girls look great in it and I love pushing it. Although my hubby hates it! he reckons he gets the strangest looks when pushing it:laughing:
I'm now wanting to get the Strider Plus that's getting releases next month...it looks SO good. But hubby has told me I have to sell some of the baby stuff I have collected for me to get it

I have 4
I have a Graco with the capsule insert ... This is my FAVE pram even though it is bulky
A Maclaren .. I use this one the most...
P&T double stroller ... I DO NOT like this one. It tips really easy so think I have used it about 5 times.
Sit N Stroll .. SO SO SO handy for travel in Asia (I travel ALOT) .. It is also a Car seat so I take it on all my holidays :) BEST thing I ever bought
i have 3
a three wheeler dedicated jogger that folds up to be the size of an elephant so is mainly used for jogging around the block
and 2 unbrella strollers that live in the boots of our cars

:iagree: This is our 3rd pram. It so great and its got the biggest shopping basket for such a small lightweight pram. I have a rock star baby pram that came with a bassinet and also a holden layback stroller. The rockstar pram is our walking pram and 'house' pram (put bubs in it when i hang out washing/have a shower).
i could very easily go for a city mini, a phil and teds, a mountain buggy and an adventure buggy though!

I have only had the one at a time.
Started with the pram changed to the stroller when she was around 2.
I hate clutter and having the one took up more then enough room for me.
I have one pram (peg perego uno) and one stroller (cheapo i think bebe somethingarother)....I have been thinking I would like to get something that is better for walking (especially on sand/rocky surfaces) but cant really justify getting another pram, unless I sold the uno.....will prob sell it and get something else when I decide to have another bub....
