pregnant on implanon??

Hi all,

I have had my implanon in for almost 3 months, and have had no flo for 2months, which i know is normal and probably nothing to worry about, but still a little worrying for me, as the only times i have missed a period is when i was pregnant!

So just a quick question to see if anyone had ever heard of anyone getting pregnant with an implanon?

I have heard of people falling pregnant with implanon, but it def is normal to not have your period while you have one.
I had implanon for just over 2 years & I had about 4 periods in that time. My doc told me this was normal. As soon as I had it removed, my periods went back to normal.

Maybe go see your doctor & if you are really worried, do a HPT or have a blood test done.
Sounds normal to me tho.

I only heard last week a story where someone had gotten pregnant on the implanon. She didn't find out until she was 5 months as it was normal for her not to get a period. :eek:

I don't think it happens alot but the obvious down side is that missing your period as a first sign of pregancy won't happen if you are used to not getting one.:(

I was on the Implanon for 2 years and didn't get my period the whole time. As soon as it came out my cycle returned.

I didn't get periods while I was on implanon either. The only people that I have heard of getting pregnant while on implanon was where the implant had failed and stayed in the needle but the doctor hadn't realised.

I remember my ex telling me that his other DD is the result of his other ex getting pregnant when she was on implanon so it does happen!
