MY 9wk old baby sleeps in her rocker during the day but likes to sleep in our bed at night, do any of you have babies who sleep in your bed?
Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to get her to sleep on her own at night?
She wakes a couple of times at night for feeds & I usually fall asleep while feeding her, thats how it started.

We co-sleep, it's great! I have a side-car (cot with one side removed, and his mattress at the same level as mine) and he starts the night in there but after the midnight feed he loves snuggling up with mumma. And I love the snuggles too!! There's quite a few Bubhubbers who co-sleep, there's heaps of benefits to it, not the least of which is a full night in my own bed (feed-time is so much easier when you don't have to get out of bed!) and, especially when they're this little, there's no rush to get kids into their own bed.

Enjoy the snuggles! :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

have a look at the Natural / Attachment Parenting sub forum of the site I am sure there will be quite a number.

our 14month old still spends at least part of the night with us - always has. works for us.

We co-sleep, well i dont know most of the time as DD who's four will sneak into bed every other night and i wake up with her arms and legs all over me:rolleyes:

When i ask her why she sneaks in...becasuse you and daddy are so so warm and i love cuddles:laughing: so cute

So you could still be co-sleeping in four years time!:D

So for all of you who cosleep at night, where does your baby sleep during the day?
Did anyone find it created a problem with sleep during the day because the baby is used to having you sleep next to them.

My DS is only 10 weeks old, but during the day he sleeps either in the Hug A Bub on me, or just in my arms, or if we're out he will sleep in the pusher sometimes. A couple of times a day he has "deep sleeps" and at those times I can put him into my bed and he'll stay asleep for half an hour-ish. But I don't mind having him asleep in the Hug A Bub, I think because I've also got a nearly-5 yr old, I know how quickly they grow up and I don't care if DS sleeps in my arms every time, I'm relishing this tiny newborn stage

we co-sleep:thumbsup:
my ds is four months old and we have a sidecar set up, but he hasn't gone in it since he was a few weeks old and we got out new mattress (wasn't comfortable having him next to me on the futon). ds sleeps much better, and so do i when we are snuggled up together.
as for day sleeps, they have been either on me or in the hug a bub since day one and no change yet. but hey, at least he is asleep!!

My daughter ( now 5 months) slept in our bed for the first 8-10 weeks. At first, it was the only way we could get her to stay asleep. She had to be so close to me that her head was resting on my arm and her nose in my arm pit. I was very worried at first ( with SIDS) because as much as I tried to put her in the middle of the bed with plenty of air around her she just wanted to be near me.
During the day we had trouble getting her to sleep as everytime we'd put her down she would wake up. In the beginning I found it uncomfortable having her in my bed as I didn;t get a restful night sleep ( pins and needles from having her sleep on my arm).
However, with age, she started sleeping better during the day and we always put her in her cot in her room to sleep.
Now at 5 months, she goes to bed in her room when she goes down at night and since she is still waking twice during the night, I bring her into my bed after the last feed ( around 4.00am) although she doesn;t have to be touching me.
As I said, in the beginning I found co-sleeping a bit disturbing but now I love when she comes in with me in the morning.
