Hey ladies i just wanted to let you know that i have created a group on facebook for gender disappointment. I did this because some women feel there is no support on facebook and i did this so women and men alike can vent their issues. Its called the single gender family support group. It is a closed group so you will have to request to join. I made it closed so we dont have to worry about ethical backlash. I really hope to see some of you ladies on there. You are not alone and i hope you all get some support for your feelings.:)

Its called the single gender family support group.

Not speaking from experience but just thought id point out that people may experience 'gender disappointment' and not have a single gender family.. It is possible to want the same sex kids too.. ;)

No i completly understand that yes i have had that been said many times but i have had the page for a while and i was on another forum when i created the group. Many of the women on there have all boys or all girls and they chose the name for the site. I welcoma anyone who suffers GD into the site but i couldn't really call it Gender disappointment as many women dont want to admit to gender disappointment or let others know their true feeling so i had to choose a name that would relate, yet seem innocent to others. See what i mean.
I will take what you said into consideration and put it to the ladies again to see if we should have a name change or not. Thanks again :D

Just to be pedantic, it's a shame people keep referring to sex as `gender' these days. They're different things. Whether your baby is a boy or a girl is SEX. How they view themselves in their role as a man or a woman in society is GENDER. I know it's a little thing but it really annoys me. LOL!

I can just imagine the kind of responses you'd get on Facebook if you called it the `sex disappointment group'
