OK, by request....
How often do you wash your cloth nappies?
I guess it depends how many nappies you have??? I have enough to last two days... although today I am doing a special HOT wash just for my fleece nappies (to strip all the detergent build up off them)

Every two days, three days is pushing it. I have a substantial supply of terry nappies but I cant stand the smell, and we have to dry them inside so I wash them quite frequently.

I wash daily but I have enough nappies to last not washing for at least 5 days (hmmm might need to build a room just to house nappies)! lol!;)

I wash every day, although sometimes I do leave it for a day - I have enough to go every two days but if I wash every day then I've got a bigger variety to choose from.
You ladies are very naughty. That is terrible for the environment, especially if you have a top loader. Tut tut.
I wash when I have a full or very close to full machine. We are running out of water very fast. I hate having water delivered.:(

I have a TL but it doesn't get filled right up for washing nappies. It has a "fill level" dial and I set it to "low" when doing nappies. I'm a good girl I am :D

I wash every 2 -3 days & this is usually a half load which i set my water level etc.
I also have one of the better TL on the market which is very water efficient which is why im ok with doing it this way
Well, well, you guys are good then.:o I really hate the winter when there is no rain. Everything is brown, there is no water in the tanks. Sorry, got a bit ahead of myself.

No, I hear you HL, I grew up in the country so I know about water conservation. I should maybe try to wait until I've got a full load before I wash. But I've only got one Honeyboy and I want to use it every day :o :p
You should have heaps Queenie! I see you over on Buyena buying the nappy I want! I can't talk though I'm currently waiting on 12 pockets from various sources.:o

I wash every 2 days at the most, or I would run out! Esp if Oliver has nappy rash or has a tummy ache, I seem to go thru them so fast....very glad I'm using cloth...I'm sure we could go thru 2 boxes a week of disp!!! LOL

I wash when the machine is getting full. Usually that is about 4-4.5 days.
I have a big front loader, and I found that when I had just 4 dozen nappies, it wasn't quite full, so I bought another dozen, and now it it pretty much full to capacity by the time the nappies are running low.

Some weeks I do spend as much as I would on disposables :o but then I can put myself on a "nappy ban" for a month if need be, we have enough to last us.

We are saving money dont let on for heavens sake or otherwise we will get banned  :p
Yes one week the look on DP's face said it all with how much i spent but at least the last 2mths i have been good only got 2 Eenees off ebay which cost me all of $13 & smother in law brought over her old terry flats !!!! Mind you she then started telling what i had to use as liners. I just agreed as it was easier LOL ... Oh & i got nappy pins for heavens sake
LMAO Ally. My mum went on a trip to see all of her family. They caught wind that I was using cloth and she came back with so many terry flats I don't know what to do with them. I've got at least 60! They will come to some use, Millie is a constant spewer.
Anyone want any flats?

IMO you can never ever have enough flat nappies!;)

Hmm well I could see how that could be a problem! Maybe you could disguise them pile them all up into a pile chuck a table cloth over them and you have a foot rest!:p

Don't knock the nappy pin!!!
I'm still using them on my flannelette nappies. The snappy things don't work with them - nothing to grab on, and they don't work with the origami fold too well, either.
Good idea!
If you want some I can drop some off to you? I've got so many, most are unused (besides for the odd spew). PM me if you want.
Sorry for the thread hijack :o .......so How often do you wash you cloth nappies?:detective:

I do a load every 2 or 3 days depends really if i am having a hectic week or what is going on around the house. Df doesn't even know half of how much i have actually spent on cloth nappies:eek: i have 6 more aio nappies on the way but he has absolutely no idea:o i think he's gonna get a bit of a shock when they arrive but i think i'll just put them straight in to the wash when they get here so he doesn't know the difference;)
My DH would notice if i filled the room with nappies so i am lucky BUT he also doesn't seem to notice if the baby smells or the 5 year old is saing 'dad, dad, dad look at me' a thousand times. GRRRRR.
HL- i was going to bid on the fleece pocket queen was bidding for but thought better of it (she might get nappy rage) You did win it didn't you queen?
Oh yeah, i wash every second day. I dont have enough to go any longer and i always use the same ones first and by the end of the second day are left with the nappies i dont trust.
Every second day. I have a routine and it makes my life a little simpler by sticking to it. I could probably go over a week without washing because we have a huge stash but I don't really like the idea of the nappies sitting that long and then I'd probably forget and run out of nappies LOL. We have a fancy FL which adjusts water levels for the size of the load so I'm not concerned with running small loads.
