We are most likely moving from country vic to Seaford very soon! Anyone else from here?

Hey Zada,

I used to leave near Seaford, and also used to live near Wangaratta lol

I was in Carrum Downs for 2 years, now live in Cranbourne North, but its not too far from Seaford. I moved down here from Wodonga. DF knows the Seaford area like the back of his hand, so if you need to know anything, ask away.... and ill get some answers from him when he knocks off work!

Would be happy to meet up with you when you make the move down here - I'm a first time mum... due in about 2 weeks.

Good luck with the move!! :goodvibes:

Sarah

Hmmm re the housing...

Depends really...

We only rent, but I know they have their cycles.

It all depends where you want to be and how much you want to spend I guess? Just keep your eye on the realestate website, and see whats around. Took us about 10 failed applications before we got our place... but I put that down to the fact that we didn't have a recent rental history between us - so your situation may be different!

I'm just up the road from Seaford. I don't know that place particularly well but any of those beach side suburbs are great for the kids. I don't think you'd have big problems getting a rental place there as it's a little way from the city (meaning it wouldn't be so competitive) :)

Hi there. I'm in Seaford. We've only been here since the beginning of last yr but we love it! We're renting at the mo & were lucky enough to find a place here as we were pretty much looking for a house anywhere in Frankston as we'd moved from NZ & were staying with family. My 2 older kids love it here because of the beach & with the lovely weather we've had recently I've just started taking my youngest who is 1 to the beach & she loves it too. We're handy to the train station which makes things easier for me as DP usually takes the car to work. Good luck with the move :)

Hi Zada, I don't live in Seaford but not far from there. My sister lives in Seaford and my dad and a few friends of mine live in Patterson Lakes/Carrum area so I'm down that way alot anyway. If you wanna catch up or whatever, let me know. I am in Cranbourne which is about 15 minute drive. My sisters and I grew up in Seaford and a few of the surrounding areas. It was great having the beach just walking distance. I'd live there now but Grant hates the beach and prefers it here (actually he says he'd prefer to live close to the city which I told him no way).

Oh wow! Ive only seen pics of the area, it certainly looks nice. I will have DD starting school next year so will have to hunt for a good primary school. Also have DS who goes to child care atm here and another DD on the way in feb :)
Do you know if houses are easy enough to get? DP is from Melbourne so know a little bit.
Good luck for the birth of your bub too how exciting!

My sisters and I went to Seaford North primary school, its a very good school. Just to let you know. ;)

:yelclap:I just enrolled my daughter there and I LOVE it. You are actually correct, it is a very good school, I live in Frankston, but both my kids ATM go to creche in Seaford. I have been looking for a good PS for a year in the Frankston area and wasn't happy with any school, so I looked at Seaford North PS, and fell in love with it straight away, they have an "animal palace" there with horses, chooks, guinea pigs and sheep. Small school, on 17 acres, right on the wetlands, before and after school care onsite.

Anyway, I am pleased to hear that it is a good school. :)

I live in Frankston, and would love to catch up with anyone. We are looking at moving to Seaford end of next year, 2011. :yelclap:

Oh cool, your daughter will love it there. They had animals when we went there as well. I have been to a few primary schools and can honestly say Seaford was the best one (Derinya primary in Frankston wasn't bad either but that was back in the 80's, not sure what its like now though). If we lived closer I'd be putting my own kids in there.
