head circumference size, natural or C/S?

Hi ladies..

I have posted another thread in here asking about bubbies sizes.... some amazing results there!!!

Now what I am super interested in is your bubs head size with each bub...

So if you would like to share let us all know how big your bubs HC was and if it was a vaginal or C/S birth...

Im trying to gain a little hope here for myself... last bubs head was 40cm!!! and was C/S.. so I'd love to hear from you all....

My dd was 36.5 and she was a Vbac.

im not sure what Ds was (first born) but i know he was bigger and he was a c/s

DD was 34cm and e/c/s but thats because (after reviewing my notes) she wasn't descending quick enough down the birth canal for hospital policy oh and end of the day was approaching..:rolleyes:

My son Cooper had a HC of 35cm he was 9pound 6 and was 57cm long, he was a c-section baby. :)

DD circumference was 37.7cm (for 3.61kg & 51cm long). Her head circumference was above the 99percentile line.

She was frank breech by c-section and never engaged so no head reshaping during birth. In fact it was squarish from being jammed up under my ribs.

She still has a large head. She's nearly 6 and I have to buy ladies-small hats for her :rolleyes:

Seth's HC was 39cm. He was a VB. The docs and midwives all commented that he had a big head! He's now above the 100% for HC and for weight. He's about 70% for length. He's a big boy at 12 weeks.

Jaesmummy- :yelclap:to you!!! Holy moly thats a big head, Ryleys head was 40cm thats only 1 cm bigger and you got a 39 cm head out vaginally? Thats unreal! Good on you! I think I probably could of tried with DD only being 37cm still big but I think I could of done it, but I was young and didnt know much about it all and pretty much just got told by the OBS what was happening... :rolleyes:

My daughter was 56cm long, head circ was 37 cm and 4.4kilos heavy. born via c-section.. because she was that big she couldnt drop and was 2 weeks late. Though im not sure of her head circ now shes 14 months and in the 2 percentile

Induced natural birth, only a few grazes no stitches or pain relief afterwards.

She is 8 weeks old now and her head is only at 37cms - hasn't grown anymore since 2 weeks old (unless the docs measurements were wrong). If anyone has any advice about this problem I would love to hear it!

DS was a VB 37.5cm HC, 4.410kg, 52cm long :)

DD had a head circumference of 33cm. Weighed 2890g and was 50cm long. Delivered naturally.

But here is something else for you to consider. The head measurement meant nothing in my case as she was frank breech. So I never really got a measurement of her body folded in half as that was what I had to push out first. A little pooping bum. The head was easy after that.

DS (8lb 2oz) was 34/35cm and DD was 38.5cm, both vaginal births. DS was assisted (forceps), DD unassisted so bit difficult for me to compare them but I do remember the 'burn' more significantly with DD.

Had tear both times - DD was (and is) very broad (9lb 11oz bub too, 55cm long) and I'm told it was her shoulders doing not her head.

DS was 36cm - natural birth, but apparently his head was nicely shaped, just like a "caesar" baby's head.

DD was smaller, but I can't recall exactly and I don't have her notes handy. It may have been around 34cm? She was also a natural birth.
