View Full Version : how much are the june bubs weighing now?
ollie is 20 weeks now and weighs over that the charts say he should.. ive stopped seeing the CHN because she just makes innapropriate remarks about it, & i don't care much for that sort of negativity.
just wondering if u could put how many weeks bubs is and how much they weigh so i can get a feel for whats average.
ty :)
Lincoln is off the charts too, but MCHNs seems to praise me rather then criticise! How awful you've heard negativity.
Lincoln is exactly 5 months today. At 21.5 weeks he weighed right on 9kgs.

Hiya MW....long time no see! Hope u and ollie are well. xx
Harry is 6.2kg at 20 weeks....but dont go by him cos he is off the bottom of the chart!
If you think ollie is happy and healthy and you are feeding him formula/breastmilk appropriately then dont stress about his weight too much.
Hey Mish!
I wouldn't listen to what the nurse says. So long as he is happy, and still healthy, that's all that matters. When jack was 5 months old he was 6.78kilo's. For his age he is small, but for his CORRECTED age. He falls towards the top 60%, closer to 70% and my dr isn't concerned at all. He said it's all perfectly normal.
Ty for the replies wow lil 6kg bubbies I wish Ollie was tiny still he kills my back when I stand and hold him.. Ollie is in the high 9kgs. Short too so very round hehehe
We r well Ty buddy still having some ups and downs with the ptsd but bubs is doing well, how's lil Harry?

i havent weighed kt for a while but she must be close to 6.8ish kgs... shes in 00s now and some 0s. Shes 23 weeks this week. She eats so much, i think her legs must be hollow
whats weird is, he weighs so much, and looks quite big, but hes in 00's in some suits and the 0's fit him but are too long... *shrug* ollie was 6 kilos around the 12 week mark.. might b a front row fwd then heh
Joshua was exactly 7kg at 21 weeks. How awful of your nurse to be like that! Don't blame you for not seeing her anymore. Some babies are above average with their weight and some are under. I agree with the other girls that said if you are feeding him the required amount then there is nothing to worry about.
Mish, I agree with everyone else. Screw the Nazi CHN
Ollie sounds good and healthy and given he's not been too well lately I think the fact that he's larger means he is better equipped to fight things off so you've put him in the best possible position if you ask me.
Olivia weighed 7.2kg at 20 weeks. I have no idea what percentile that is and don't really care any more!
Hey Mish, I havent posted a lot here but I saw your tread and thought it might be a bit of comfort to know that there are some other bubs out there the same size:)
Lucas was 9 kg when he was 4 months old. My nurse havent made any comments except that his dad must be big (and he is).
So I wouldnt listen to much to the CHN. I'm sure that as soon as they starts moving around they will stop gaining so much weight.
thanks everyone :)
he's quite sick atm and gone off his bottle a bit so it is true its better he's chubby, if he was a feather weight it would b alot worse.
and it is true once they start moving around they do slim down.
once again thank u everyone :):)

ds is just going 5 months now and is exactly 8kgs. He was born on the 75th percentile and has stayed there continuously.
When is everyone going to change from rear facing to forward facing? ds is big enough now and would love to sit up because when I lie him down in the capsule he pulls himself up until I restrain him. The main thing stopping me is when they go to sleep their little heads flop forward when they are forward facing. Think we will change at 6 months.
i'll change ds's when he starts getting angry at being rear facing i think.. i wanna keep him like a lil baby as long as possible him being my last lol... he'll b five and i'll b spoon feeding him pureed vegies "mum i think u have a problem"

PMSL mischas!!
I can't remember how old they were at the last weigh-in, I think 4months corrected?? I can't even remember what they were!! DD about 6.1 and DS about 7.6 - I know there was a whopping 1.5kg difference between them. Proof IMO that it doesn't matter WHAT you feed your baby, some are just bigger than others.
kazza - my CHN charts the bubs by their corrected age, to make it show properly. DD is petite, and DS is about the 50% mark.
 Hi Mish.
I had Ryan weighed on Wednesday he was 6.8kg. I have no idea how many weeks he is, without sitting down with the calendar :o.
my sisters little boy was 8 kg at 3 months. He is one of the skinniest 5 year olds I have seen now.
I am sorry the MCHN is making you feel so badly about Ollie. I think you are right being a bit chubby is helping him with all this illness.
Take care Mish.:hugs:
I hope everything else is going ok for you guys.
 to everyone else, glad to see all of our bubs are doing so well.
aww hehe all these wittle 6 kg bubs so tinyy!!!
CM- ohhh well that is true then, u feed the twinnies the same ammount and Eli is bigger..just goes to show then!
prue *hugs* hiii how r u? things r pretty rough atm but i'm dealing.
We will probably move Jack to forward facing next month. Apparently that have to be at least 8 kilo's and six months (?) the middie said to allow for the corrected age a bit, so I figure early Dec.
hey
my bub is 5 months actual and 3 months corrected and he is 6.5kg

We will be leaving the bubs rearward facing until at least 12months, probably 12kg. We turned DS1 at 14months when he was 12kg. They are heaps safer that way. Have a look on youtube for more info, but after watching some of the crash test dummies, we decided that our bubs were better off rearward facing for as long as possible.

Wow, good to see our bubs are not the only little ones. Sawyer is 6.35kgs now, and Sery is 6.7kgs, they were dressed for that weighing at 3.5 months corrected or 6 months (on saturday) actual.
We won't be turning bubs until they don't fit safely in the seat rearward facing anymore. I too watched the vids on youtube and they were scary!
I agree on leaving them rear ward facing for a bit longer then the seats themselves say. But I have also had a bub, that did nothing but scream in the car.
Ryan will stay rear facing until he is either too big, or too unhappy. I am pretty sure my other babies were all changed over by the time they were 10 kgs. I have no idea what age they were though.
