Hi logiesmummy,
Not really going to be able to solve your problem but I am having the exact same thing! I can't breathe through my nose, my eyes look like I have been smoking something that I really shouldn't and are itchy and sore all the time, feel like my head is stuffed with cottonwool.
I was told by my pharmacist that Polaramine is completely safe to use when pregnant, only downside is it can make you drowsy so I have been taking them at night before bed. They are not too bad and helped me in the past but with how I am at the moment they seem to do nothing at all.
I have been taking telfast 180 during the day because I am nearly going mad from the symptoms. Not the best I know but I can't function and go to work otherwise. I'm hoping whatever is going on with my allergies will stop flowering or go away fairly soon so I can go back to being good. Not ideal because it is our first month ttc after a missed miscarriage and d&c and I would prefer to be doing everything right but there is not much I can do about it. I had time off for mc and need to be able to come to work :(
Anyway all the best. I hope you feel better soon. Oh also eyedrops that are in a fairly low risk category for when pregnant are Naphcon A. That's what I have been using and under normal circumstances they are great... at the moment not really helping that much.
If these bad symptoms keep up for much longer I am going to go into the pharmacy again and ask for their advice explaining the whole ttc thing. They were very helpful last time.
Good luck with sniffles and tww! I hope it all goes well for you.
Melameen.

you can make your own saline for eye washing (and snorting if you're game)
1/4 teaspoonof table salt to 1 cup cooled boiled water - throw out after 24 hours and mae a fresh batch

Rhinocort nasal spray is classified as being safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding. It just takes a little while to work (maybe an hour). It is good in that if you use it regularly (once a day) it prevents hayfever!
I don't work for the company or anything, I just get hayfever all the time!! Of course you can check with your doctor that its okay to use for you

I'm having the same problem this week  I was absolutely dying yesterday so I rang my ob-gyn to check and she actually recommended Claratyne  -- so I went and bought some (well, the home brand Loratadine), but it still says on the box that pregnant women should check with their doctor. I took one yesterday which was my worst day for hayfever but I think I'll avoid taking them if I can handle it.
The doc also said that the nasal sprays are okay to use too btw...

Hey ladies i had forgotten i had posted here!!! well after a good week of being really bad i made an appointment with my OBGYN and she also said clarentyne!! She said that they don't reccomened anything for pregnant women anymore because pregnant women can't be used in testing! So i have sneezed a whole of once today compared to constantly sneezing and having the sneeze wee's!!:o But now i have really bad dehydration due to the hot weather.bTo the extent that i fainted yesterday in the chemist!!
BTW the Doctor said this has been the worst year for Hayfever in 4 years!!
