I got so excited on Sunday when November arrived that I started putting up the Christmas lights.
Then I realised I still hadn't had the patio sprayed for spiders, so have put the lights on hold until that's done on the 14th.
So far I have the lights up on the kids cubby and put a string of solar lights on the kids swing set yesterday.:babydust2:

December 1st for us! It's a family tradition I want to pass on. We'll wait until DH gets home from work, then put the tree up, other decorations up, drink egg nog and have dinner together while listening to Christmas Carols. DD is a little young to enjoy it but it's more for me than for her.

i wont be putting any lights up at all. prolly the only decorations in my house will contain my 40cm fibre optic tree. since its only me atm and more htan likely will be over the xmas period, i honestly dont feel in the mood nor excited. my opinion might change closer to xmas but not looking good.

I do the lights on the tree on the 11th, If I cam wait that long.

Keiaras Birthday is the 8th December so I want her to have her Birthday first before going into Christmas.

Sometimes I had set the tree up on the 9th or 10th because I get so excited but I want to try and make it the 11th every year...

I'm feeling the magic of Christmas ,

There's no Christmas police or law to say you can't put your tree up before the 1st of December,

I have a number (copious amounts) of lights to put up that it generally takes me several days to get them all up. I start with the lights in Nov then the trees and inside decorations in December.

Spiders being sprayed on Sat, so more lights to go up on Sunday. Will post more photo's then.

I don't know who gets more excited as Christmas approaches, me or the kids:laughing:.

We don't have any lights or outside decorations, but our tree goes up and the house is decorated on December 4 this year. That's DD's last day of school, she finishes at 12 noon so we're coming home, having a shower and getting changed into Christmas outfits and putting the tree up then decorating the house. She's so excited!

LOL not too early!!! Ive been contemplating putting mine up. I get super excited about christmas. We decorate the front of the house.

Ill probably start my lights in the last week of november so they are ready to go on the first of december. Our tree goes up on the first of december and our inside decorations too.

Your cubby house lights look great! Ive gone over my christmas light quota for this year but i might buy some more lights for the kids cubby next year!

I'd like to thank all of you who have lights and take the time to display them. My favourite part about Christmas (other than the day) is driving around looking at lights! One day I'll have lots of money and will be able to buy some, but for now we only have the tree ones. So thank you to the rest of you for sharing yours :)
