Since having DS 6 months ago I have not had a period. I had a D & C for retained products after his birth and was thought to have placenta accreta (sp). My gynae put me on the pill and hormones in the hope that a period would shed any remaining placenta and avoid me having to have a hysterectomy. The only problem is that after 6 cycles - still no period.
So I had a hysteroscopy and D & C 2 weeks ago and the results were a uterus full of scar tissue and he was only able to visualise one tube as the other was covered is scars. He removed as much as possible and I am again on massive doses of hormones to get me a period (14 days to go).
I am wondering if anyone else has been through this and the effect on ability to fall or carry another bub in the future? I am very thankful for the perfect little one I already have but would love to extend the family as I have a few years ahead of me yet!
