Light cramps in early pregnancy

Hi all, I just wanted to see if anyone else experienced some light period like cramps and/or pain on one side during pregnancy? Doc says not to be worried just yet, but I cant help it! I had no feeling in my belly when this early with my first baby, so this is all new to me! Any help would be great!

I had really bad cramps very early on around 4 and 5 weeks. I didnt know I was pregnant and thought I was getting my period. Then that settled down and I found out I was preg. I had one sided pain like you, and I was very worried it may be ectopic- Well turns out all was ok. If there was something seriously wrong im sure the pain would be much worse.

You have to remember you have a baby growing inside you- thats a very big deal. You are bound to get some weird feelings- there is so much going on inside you right now :)

Thanks, Its just hard. I hate the wait to the first ultrasound! Im impatient enough as it is. It just freaks me out any odd aches, though I suppose I never had morning sickness either, and the nausea is coming to get me...

I can write the book on aches and pains! It's quite normal to have some crampy aches - I'm experiencing the same thing myself. You're body is adjusting and preparing for pregnancy, ligaments are stretching and already things are being pushed out of the way of your growing uterus. Take heart - you would know if you were going to miscarry. The pain is quite bad and accompanied by bleeding. I'm sure you're fine. I know it's hard but try to relax. Stress will only make things worse. Leanne :flowerz:
