Anyone else decided to try for another one so soon after your April-June bub?

DP and I have started trying for #3. Our family is thrilled, some friends think we are nuts, 2 of them have told us we are idiots (one childless, one with two grown boys and she only ever wanted 2).

DP has sperm issues and was told when he was younger he might never have kids naturally. It could take years. It took two years of regular BD with no protection for the twins to come about.

No we don't plan on starting until DS turns 2. Our close friend who had her daughter 2/4/09 has already started TTC.

I can't believe anyone would consider it! :laughing: But that's just me.

Being boringly practical, I have to go back to work for a bit so we can build up another buffer on our mortgage before I am off work again for a year. And perhaps a little selfishly, I also want to have some time to get my body back from the whole pregnancy/feeding cycle. Oh and sleep, I want some SLEEP!!

If anyone is fortunate enough to find a way to cope with another bub financially, physically and emotionally so that you can have babies with a small age gap then that's great. I can understand then why you'd want to do it.

Not this time around no. I have started a few things that are going to keep me busy for the next two years. But we are planning to TTC in January 2011.

Although our 3rd was 2 months old when we conceived our 4th child. Planned.

shockinamillion, i am getting off the mini pill in jan, prob end of jan, as we are getting married end of feb, i would like a small gap between my children, so our ttc journey will be starting soon! GOOD LUCK (and i dont think you nuts or mad!! )

nope - our family is now complete and we have a 4 year age gap between dd and ds because we couldn't handle the thought of a baby when dd was a toddler (she was extremely intensive and it would have pushed me over the edge).
Did you have a vaginal birth? I had a vaginal birth first time and had c/s this time around, and the ob said not to ttc until ds was at least 1. I told her not to worry...there will be no more babies for us...but a recommendation for a dr to perform a vasectomy would be good ;).
Good luck shock...you must be coping very well with your 2 bubs to be ttc so soon :thumbsup:. I do think you are crazy but you must be a lot tougher than me.

Hi I am an August mummy & it took us 2 years to get our little man so we will be trying again in May. I would try sooner but due to having a c/s I have to wait. I want it all over & done with as I do not enjoy being preggers or the new born stage

We wasn't planning on another so soon (Ds was born in May) but I'm 13 weeks pregnant with my second. This baby is due on the same day as DS was. :)
Lots of people have told us we're crazy, stupid and mad but the baby is on its way now and we are thrilled :)

You are a brave woman, Shock, and I hope it works out the way you want it too.

I couldn't imagine a less than 2 year age gap, especially as DS2 has been so much more of a handful than DS1. I'm even contemplating a 3/4 year age gap.

But as much hard work as DS2 has been, I couldn't imagine finishing at two!

I want at least a 2yr age gap or close to it. So planning for a 2011 baby.

Well your first two are minutes apart so im sure you will be fine with another one at least 12 months apart!!

i would like another one or two, but the more i think about a toddler and a newborn the less enthusiatic i get..:yes:
weve decided to save for a house, and hopefully by the time thats done, well be ready for a second and kt will be ready for kindy. I need to work and DH needs to finish his phd, so those are priorties atm...plus we get our little girl all to ourselves :D

Well, DP and I spoke again today. We are holding off on actually trying until I lose a bit of weight. He was willing to try right away but I would like to wait a little longer I think. I would like to be at a healthier weight before I tackle another pregnancy, let alone 2 toddlers and a newborn.

I with you shock, I want to lose 10-15kilo's (back to my pre pregnancy weight) before I go another one. DP and I spoke last night and we are going to give it another go early 2011. I don't want to be older then 35 before we start again given all the garbage I went through (health wise) with our little man

DH & I are not actively trying just 'seeing what happens'. It took us ages to get preg last time so we figure leave it upto fate but occasionally I think what are we thinking??? but I call talk myself into very easily, like they say the only child you regret is the one you dont have :D

Chances are that as the bubs start to get a bit older you will loose weight chasing them about....so long as you are stronger than me and don't nibble on all thier leftovers!! LOL

Given that you know your DP's issues then TTC sooner is probably a great idea, so long as you are prepared for it to happen sooner. you just never know!

It is soooo NOT on the cards for us, 4 is plenty. Well, its more the fact that I cannot and will NOT go through another pregnancy. I miss so much because of being so sick, and it's not fair on the other kids. DH keeps complaining about the lack of :valentine: and i keep reminding him the sooner he gets the snip, the sooner he'll get action! :laughing:
