Hi to all,

First time that i have made a new thread, welcome to November ladies only 7.5 weeks till Christmas and some buba's will be 1....

We are all doing well, spent the long weekend in the garden. Liam likes being out in the playpen in the garden. I put him in the shade under the lemon tree with some toys, and thought that he would be out of trouble. Well a lemon fell of the tree and he ate it, just as well it did not hit him on the head.

Liam is becoming very clingy, wants to be carried around and screams when other people look at him or touch him. It is driving me nuts, he has spent most of the week asleep or being carried around in the ergo. Anyone having the same thing? I am worried as after christmas i have to go back to work and Liam has to go to childcare, dont know how he will go.

Better go cook dinner.

Glad someone is on the ball Nickimum! November already :D.

Shocking that some babies will be 1 at Christmas - it makes me realise how much younger O is in comparison really.

Not having the same thing with a clingy bub but I do think it is quite common at this age (the whole seperation anxiety thing). Hopefully Liam will grow out of it soon and then you won't have to worry about leaving him at childcare.

How did he like the lemon?!

Hello everyone else. Hope all of you are well.

hi everyone
hope u all ok, im good, gonna be really hot today here in perth.
I got lots to do today, cleaned the house and mopped yesterday and its an absolute mess again already grrrrr.
I managed to get jayden to sleep till 6am i think, he woke at 5am, i put his dummy back in and he was quiet till 6am, so im presuming he was asleep, although he was tired again by 8am.
hopefully we will be able to get finance for out jetski, applied with our bank yesterday, they think the other bank declined it, cos they would have calculated rent and a mortgage with our montly costs, which DOH we dont pay cos the house isnt built yet, stupid woman who did it.
OH and ben slept till 6.30am, hopefully those block out blinds worked and it wasnt a coincindince, ill be putting jaydens up today.
anyways better go and get cleaned up, and put the shopping away before jayden wakes.

Hi everyone,

November!!!!!!!!!!!!! angel - i have daniel's 1st bday sorted too :) so exciting.

nicki- that is hilarious about the lemon - what are the chances!??!?!?! daniel is not quite so clingy as DD was but he is still CONSTANTLY pulling himself up on my leg when i'm trying to do things which is really annoying.

tracy - wicked i hope that they can work the loan out now. 6:30 is not so bad a time :)

Me - cleaning today too. I just seem to be perpetually washing clothes and cleaning up from meals. When am I supposed to get a chance to do other things!!! I shouldn't be laying here on the laptop.. next job on the agenda is to clean out the playroom. tidy this morning and clean this afternoon. (hopefully with some gardening chucked in) ahhh i'm sure you'll interested in my housekeeping progress. Just so hard with kids!!

I'm not going to write what Daniel has done the last 4 nights because I dont want to curse myself. but it has to do with a happy mum and dad; and waking when it's light (and not before). of course it's just a fluke (hope not) but I have been trying him on the baby bliss routien for the last 2 weeks so maybe it's just kicked in. *FINGERS CROSSED*

He only has 3 bottles now - and he eats.. and eats... and. eats.

Hi all

Nicki- that's so funny about Liam under the tree, I read it out to DH and we both had a giggle because we can just imagine the look on Layla's face if she ate a lemon  I hope you got a pic?

Tracy- good luck with your finance!! :fingerscrossed:

Cords- well done on the sleep!

Clingy Bubs- Layla has her moments, but is NOWHERE near as bad as Mason was at this age. She is a lot more independant and likes her own space a lot. Probably because she has a big brother who doesn't leave her alone for more than 5 seconds at a time

How is everyone else going? Sorry if I missed anything, only did a quick skim read.

Ni Hao ...

OMG !!! 1st birthdays already .. it is a little scary to think it has almost been a year...

I am hoping to have DD's party at a park near my parents house - saying that it is VERY popular and as it will be 2 days before Xmas .. I will have to get up at the crack of dawn to get a table reserved (saying that - with DD's lack of sleep that should NOT be a problem )

SO if anyone is around the Mooloolaba area PM me and I would LOVE for you to come celebrate with us...

I am feeling So much better about the whole sleeping situation.. I have just given in and realize that it cant last forever..Dh has been away so that makes it not so stressful. I got my AF (i know, too much info) this week which could have added to my down mood last week ... I ALWAYS cry and get angry just before I get it.

I cant believe that I am heading to OZ in 3 weeks :smiliedance: I cant wait !! We are going via Hong Kong and will make a disneyland trip :) so I will be having breakfast with Mickey Mouse on my birthday...hahaha - how old am I. We also have some friends coming with us which will be great.

Nicki - LOVE the lemon story .. can just imagine his lil face :)

Tracy - hope the finance works out. We are the other way. Have had finance sorted for ages - jsut cant find anything to buy.

Hope everyone else is well

Chocoholic - How are you feeling ???

Helloooooo everyone,

I am still here, just been caught up the last week with a sick bubba :( Poor Lil man had gastro, with high temps for a week, then came out in a rash all over inc. his face. All is good again now and the rash is gone

I'll and do some personals, sorry if I miss anyone,

Shell - Happy belated birthday, Im sure i already said it on your FB page, just thought id say it agian. Hope you were spoilt rotten xo
Congrats to Miss Daisy!! On the move now, bet there's no stopping her.

Tracy - Congrats on the House and Loan stuff, very exciting times ahead!! how's work going? has Ja settled into daycare?

Fugs - :hugs: to you and :wizard::babydust2: Sleepy dust for Mei Mei, I know its really hard to cope with. I think once you get back to Oz you will be able to sort her out. Unfortunatly with the travelling your about to do, there is not much point in changing things now as she will only be put out by the travelling. Hope you have a great time at Disneyland, your so lucky to have your b'day there. ENJOY!! and go on the Space Mountain ride for me. PLEEEEEAAAASSSEEEE

Cords - How are things? Is Daniel sleeping any better for you?

Oats - Hope your having a fantastic time with your parents, Im sure Miss Ayla is getting spoilt rotten!!

BF - Hows that bubba cooking? Hope your still glowing and your feeling fantastic.

M2M - How is your bubba cooking? Are you feeling the glow yet? Has the MS gone yet?
How is Miss Layla sleeping now? are things getting better?

Brum - HI! How are you and O? Did I miss the results from the WC tests?? I hope all is ok!! Any signs of a new nail on the finger of yours?

Angel - great to see your exersise plans are going well!! Keep it up, YOU CAN DO IT!!!

AFM - Its my 6yr Wedding Anniversry tommorrow, DH is taking me out to a surprise dinner tonight. Cant wait.
I have to go back to work earlier than I wanted, they rang me last week and said that my 52 weeks of Mat leave is up as of the 17th of this month and I had to make a decision on what I was going to do, as, aperently I was supposed to give them a months notice. My options were 1. Go back 4days/week starting the 17th, 2. drop my status to casual, but in doing that I would loose my PT position and would not be guaranteed shifts and then when I was ready to work more i would have to reapply for a PT position, which may not be available. 3.resign :( So I had a major stress out for 24hrs and then rang my boss again. She said that she had been thinking about it and had a soloution. If dropped my contracted hours to 8 instead of 64 and came back and did a couple of shifts, i could then take a couple of Annual leave days and that would get me through till mid Jan and then I could increase my hours back to what I want when I work that out. So thats what im gonna do. My first shift is in 2weeks and Im leaving Marley at home with his Daddy as its his day off! Im so nervous, I know the boys will be fine but I never leave Marley for more than 1hour, unless its night and he is sleeping lol. Oh well, at least im not gonna loose my job and at least I am able to just do 1 shift a fortnight!

Well better be off, gotta get ready for my neices 2nd B'day.

Have a great weekend everyone

Lots of luff

Wow, I've been slack. Sorry girls. Hope all is well in the land of Jan Mummies.

Sharne - so sorry to hear about Marley having gastro. It is a horrible enough illness at the best of times let alone when you are just a little baby. I really hope he's on the mend now and will be back to his old self soon. What was the rash? Was it all part of the illness? God, poor little fella. Great news about your work situation being resolved. I have been contemplating retuning to uni part time but considering we are hoping to be trying for a second baby I am weighing up the pros and cons of starting sooner rather than later. We'll see. you're lucky DH is able to look after Marley. I don't know anyone I can trust with O. Obviously DH but he's at work too. Uni will be expensive and so would childcare fees - I just don't know. Thanks for asking about the WC - neither of my boys had it which was great but we did find out that O was allergic to penicillin after he came out in a massive rash after taking it. I did get some weird looks when I took him swimming  Happy Anniversary to you and your DH.

AB - Wii fit - I am sooooo jealous. Do you think it works? I am so tempted to buy one. Can't afford to retun to uni but can afford a Wii fit!!!!). I'm a bit of a novice about it all so was wondering do you get like a personal trainer on it? What sort of exercise do you do?

Chocoholic and BF - hope the babies are going well. Big belly rubs to you both :flowerz:

Tracy - any luck with the loan for the jetski being reduced? You can get credit cards with less interest than they're trying to charge you.

Kaz & Nickimum - did I say I DIDN'T have a clingy bub? Let me rephrase that........ It's only just started and I am trying to figure out if it is tiredness, being clingy since O's been ill or seperation anxiety - I'll let you know.

Fugs - sorry that mei Mei isn't sleeping for you. I wish I could take care of her for you while you sleep for 24 hours straight :hugs:

Cords - did you jinx yourself? I really hope not :fingerscrossed:

Oats - I know you're not around but just wanted to let you know that we miss you X

Shell - hello gorgeous. I was so happy to hear that Daisy is on the move for you - not in a sadistic way that you are now chasing her around but considering you had a few concerns. O is still on the commando crawling but was quite frustrated the other day when he only had a nappy on cause his big fat belly kept getting stuck on the tiles!!!! Perhaps if I do that more often it will force him onto his knees!

Did I miss anyone? Sorry - you are on the previous page and I'm lazy!

Nothing much to report from me. Loving my new MCN's. O has such a chubba bum in it - so cute. Trouble is, ever since we got them it hasn't stopped bloody raining in Brissie! I have also started wrapping my Chrissie pressies - too early??????

Lots of love to all.

Thanks for the support - I have officially finished Week 1 on C25k now and am stoked!

Congrats on your wedding anniversary. Hope you have an awesomely yummy dinner..im totally jealous hee hee.

Hey Brum

I don't use my wii as much as id like cause i can only do it when Nic is sleeping and then Steph wants to join in and cries when she can't. I have the normal wii fit game which is a good starting point but not the best to lose weight. I also have personal trainer which i really like, you should check it out on youtube.

Congrats on getting some mcn's they are great aren't they...it does suck when it rains, I hope you have a dryer.

Too early to wrap pressies....i haven't really bought any HAHA but we did buy some house decorations today...Steph went nuts in the cheapo shop HAHA

AFM - buggered from PT today and shopping with Steph. Gonna start dinner soon..DH has just passed out on the floor BAHAHAHAHAHA.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Keep glowing expecting mummies and BFP vibes to all those trying.

9th November already and we're still only on page 2 (or this might be the first on page 3). Hope everyone is well.

I've just got back from the nurse. O hasn't put on any weight in a month but considering his illness followed immediately by teething I'm hardly surprised. He's still over 25th percentile so I'm not too concerned. He did grow 2cm though so all of his energy might have gone into that. On the plus side, I was talking with her about playgroup saying that although I love going it seems a bit unfair on O cause we get there dead on his nap time and he's still a bit too young to join in with the other kids. She gave me the number of a lady with a 6 month old baby who was saying the same thing who wanted to meet up with other mums where we could work around each others routines - sounds wonderful so I will give her a call.

Is any of your babies able to get themselves into a sitting position? Supposedly this is one of the 9 month milestones but O doesn't do it yet . I was just wondering, if your baby is, if you could cast your mind back to when they were 9 months old and remember if they were doing it then? Thanks girls.

I've just been on a cleaning mission. We moved in this house over a year ago and knowing it was just a stop gap while building a house we didn't actually unpack properly and used one room as a kind of dumping ground. The trouble is, it is the first room you see at the front door - didn't think that one through. So, I have tried to tidy it a bit but haven't succeeded very well - nothing a bed sheet doesn't fix though

Sharne - how's Marley now? Is he feeling any better?

Shell - loved the video of Daisy crawling. She is so fast. Obviously very excited to see big sissy!

AB - how's Nic sleeping now? Are you still in that good routine?

Tracy - I saw the boys haven't been sleeping too well on FB. Sorry to hear that. It must be hard. Hope it gets better soon.

Fugs - how's your little Mei Mei? Is she being a pickle at night still? I just can't imagine surviving on as little sleep as you do especially with another little one. Again, I just really hope she settles for you soon. Like you say, surely she can't survive on as little sleep as she's getting. One day she'll surprise you and sleep in until 10 - I can't wait to see that status on your FB!

Cords - where are you? how's your little dog going? I bet he's getting around like nothing's wrong. How are the kiddies? Hope they're well.

Oats - loved the pictures of Ayla on her Baptism day. She looked lie a china doll in her dress. hope you had a lovely day.

BF and Choc - belly rubs to you both X

Hello to everyone else.

Hello everyone,

I'm at work.. Naughty me supposed to be working & reading up on here instead lol..

Brum.. I laughed so hard at the mental image of Oakleigh's stomach stuck to the tiles lol.. that's hilarious. Daisy gets cross with the tiles if she has a bondsuit on cause she slips lol. She is very very fast. It just kind of took her a day or two to get that fast. She can't get herself into a sitting position from laying down and doesnt look like being able to for a long time yet. As you probably saw on the video on FB she can put her chest on the floor, literally lay her chest & cheek on the floor between her legs like a gymnast & then rolls her hips, kick her legs out & off she goes lol.. She's very flexible but nowhere near getting herself into a sitting position.

Oh dear I've blabbed so much just to Brum I've run out of time. I'd leave this open & add to it throughout the day but I know I'd lose it all at 4.55pm this afternoon

Will be back... Love to you all

It's me - i'm here!

ARGGGHHHHH so busy with christmas and birthday preparations - too much this time of year. I am in a spin. we're going away this weekend - about 4 hours away to see my sister. Decided to take the 2 kids myself on the roadtrip - so that shoul dbe fun!!! Daniel will be fine. DD is fine with the DVD player and some CD's so not too worried. (ARRRGHH not!)

kaz - are we alloewd to know what your wedding dress is like :P

angel - don't go too nuts with the exercise  easy for me to say - my exercise is running after my kids. lazy AZ

sharne - lovely to hear from yo u:) great that work can be so flexible!! You'll be FIINEEEEE!!! Marley will be FIINEEEEEE!!!

brum - thanks for your message :) we are good. Dog is GREAT - getting around so well!!!!! Don't let the nurse worry you!! 2cm is great :) and my kids tend to not put on weight when they get longer. They get fat, long, fat, long etc :) And i wouldn't worry about O's development - does he sit when supported with pillows n stuff?? i always sat daniel on my knee so he got used to sitting ok. 9 months for DD she was hardly doing anything - just learnt to sit and starting to sort of push herself around, she wasn't rolling. Daniel's a bit different but i think that's coz he has a big sister he wants to chase.

In other news, my house is nearly painted and my garden is nearly weeded!! WOO

11-11-2009, 07:24
Thanks girls. I'm learning to take a lot more in my stride and I'm not as much the paranoid mother as I used to be - I was more just interested in other peoples babies cause I hadn't heard any of you saying that baby has started to sit up on their own from lying down but, then again, I suppose it's not such an exciting thing like crawling or walking. I just wondered why O would even bother putting the energy into learning! Surely crawling means he can get out of that sitting position Mummy kept putting him in and then left him in for 10 mins while she went to hang the washing out - bo-ring! Yeh, sorry Cords, I didn't mean he wasn't sitting at all but that he can't get into a sitting position from lying down (I don't think I made myself very clear with that one).

As for the weight thing - again, I'm not too concerned. He's the picture of health so I know he's not suffering and he's a little guts. Hey, if he can eat as much as he does and not put on weight he's got better genes than me!!!! He did this before and Cords, like your two, he seems to put in loads of energy to growing lengthways one time and then outwards another time - he has never done both at the same time. I suppose if he hadn't grown at all I would have been a bit more concerned. He's over 8KG now and is still on the chart and I suppose that's all that matters. I swear he was swapped at the hospital though - nothing that cute, tall and thin can come out of me and DH!

Cords - hope you have a lovely time at your sisters. Drive safely and we'll hopefully hear of your adventures when you get back. I'm really pleased the dog is going well. They're like children aren't they? They don't realise they're meant to be convalescing!

Kaz - Ooooooooh, I want to see the dress too!

Shell - why are you doing 3 days at work? Is that gonna be the case from now on? I thought you were just doing 2 days????? How's Daisy? Does she have a sponsor yet???? If I get in now I'll get cheaper sponsorship and be seen in the Olympics in 2028. Worth thinking about. I now just need a product to advertise.......:detective:

AFM - we're going well. O was up early this morning (these top teeth really need to come through NOW ) so I've fed him and put him back down again hoping he'll have a snooze before swimming. I don't want him cranky in the pool. The teeth thing - I've looked in the top of O's mouth and it looks like the teeth either side of the Bugs Bunny ones are the ones due to come through - could that be possible? The red marks just look too far apart to be the Bugs Bunny ones . Having said that, his bottom ones have grown through a bit crooked so could it be the Bugs Bunny ones but they're gonna be split? Nothing much else to report. House fumigation next Wednesday with possibly the loveliest exterminator I've ever spoken to (not that I've spoken to many) - he is very enthusiastic about his work (older fella). I've been naughty and spent lots of money on clothes. I was in desperate need though considering all of my summer clothes are maternity and/or falling apart. Loving the new tops in the shops and their ability to disguise my post pregnancy belly!!!!

Bye for now.

hi everyone hope all ok
i been tryin to post all day, and then i get typin, and press the stupid back button by accident grrrrrr.

BRUM - i wouldnt worry too much about O, hes not months and months behind, all babies develope at different stages, but i think you do worry about your 1st childs developement more than any other, i know i did with ben, O is doing great and remember he is a month less than some of the others which is a lot in baby age.

CORDS - enjoy the trip, im sure you will be fine, just take lots of breaks, and im sure they will have a snooze too in the car, whcih will make it easier.

SHELL - oooo ur a naughty girl, what will ur boss say LOL.

ANGELBABY - hows the training going ? did u manage to find somehow to train without/with the kids.

SHARNE - work going ok, but hard work with 2 children, tryin to organise everythin and do errands now is so much harder, ill geet use to it soon , just gotta get more organised.
Hows marley doin, hope hes better.
How was ur weddin anniversary? hope u had a nice day
sprry ur have to return to work earlier than normal, at least u have come to some kind of agreement with work so thats good.

AFM - well we now offically own our block of land, and construction could start as early as next week, wooooo, im so excited, lots of pics will be comin on facebook, mainly boring, lol but not to me.
The kids are sleepin a bit better, but jayden is cuttin a tooth so has been a little grizzly and off his food, does anyone elses go off their food when teething, im hoping this is the reason why he wont eat what i cook him.
My mum is gonna be here in just over 3 weeks, i cant wait to see her, havent seen her for 18 months.
We just waitin for a decision with another loan for jetski, but whatever happens we gonna get it, cos we need something fun to do, life has become a bit serious, so we will just pay extra payments and pay it off quicker.

hey hey everyone

well the warm weather is finally here...and its damn humid ...reminds me of Mauritius but without the view

well i got up @ 4.30am today and went for my run, it was damn hard esp cause i was sick and missed monday's :( BUT...I DID IT :D

Contemplating running 5km non stop in 30mins is kinda scaring me, but I found a great mentor who went from morbidly obese to now running 3x 5km runs so she is my inspiration :yelclap:

Anyhoo, im actually wanting to go for a walk tonight but I don't think hubby will get home in time and I don't wanna go when its dark.

How is everyone going? Any news from anyone, forum has been a bit quiet, Im trying to msg everyone on FB as I get time.

Nic is well and truly ready to walk - those who saw my FB vid will agree. She can't wait to chase after Stephanie.

Steph has 2 more weeks of kindycare left before she starts real Kindy next year. Her cousins are coming over from Mauritius in a few weeks and we are getting ready to have a huge family Xmas!

Well, Steph is bugging me for cuddles and to have a tea party with her so hope you all have a great night...bye xoxo

Hi,

I have come to break the droght on posts, no posts in 6 days wow that must be a record.

Anyway all is sort of well here. Meaghan is well being Meaghan 3 going on 13 and Liam is still his clingy self but we are all learning to cope. I have not been well, noting major but i think that i could be pregnant, lots of cramping mid cycle and we had a little stuff up in the contraception department. I hope not at this stage, we are still not sure about number 3 and i have to go back to work next year. It will be what it will be. I have a Dr appt on Thursday too.

Hope that you are all well, got to go grumble bum (Liam) is awake.

And some new christmase icon , just because they are new..:noel: :tree: :snow:

Hi Nicky,

Sorry to hear you haven't been well. I think if you are pregnant then it was meant to be. A little baby is such a blessing. I was worried when I found out I was pregnant with Daisy & theo had literally just turned one.. but it worked.. I managed & its just how life is for us now.. a rather large family lol..

Been feeling abit stale & down.. Don't know why. I know when i'm unhappy with my weight everything else gets me down. I literally haven't been to the gym since we went camping in the Oct school holidays. I couldnt go the week we had the 6 kids that just wouldnt of been fair on Aaron & then he had his op & I couldnt leave the kids with him for 2 weeks.. its been a weeks now.. a month even & I just can't get back my motivation & I'm stacking on the weight by the minute.. I just get so down sometimes that I only have to look at a sweet or cake & I may as well sticky tape it straight on my #ss. Sigh... Some people have all the luck.. I just wish I didn't have so much weight to lose this time round you know.. its overwhelming :(

Hope you are all smiling. Have been keeping up with all your goss on FB and looking at photo's just don't get the time to post the long posts on here anymore. Atleast with FB if you do post anything is a one sentence status update & done in seconds lol...

love to you all & your beautiful babies

What's this? Perhaps another bun in the oven for our darling Nicki?!!! :cloud9:... how wonderful... if unexpected.... "oh, not sure we wanted a third" aha! well the decision may be made for your! see, we all might be connected on facebook, so dont post here so often, but then there's all this juicy gossip that doesnt get posted up on FB!!

How did Dr's appt go today mate? uh, am still excited about robot nappy too... :D

Hugs for you Shell... perk up - the Chrissy smilies are up YAY :reindeer:!!! You'd think running around after a bazillion kids would burn thousands of calories a day... to no avail!

Cords: what? Christmas preparations what? nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :tree:.... it's too early!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not ready!!!!!!!!:crying:.... managed to pick up some Scooby Doo pj's for the twins on sale today... silky summer ones for $13 each down from $24... bargain! Was going to give them to them today, but at age 6 Christmas is all about quantity over quality... so will add the pjs to the pile... have just realised I have 3 kids to shop for in advance (ie winter sales for next year etc) rather than just the twins... gotta remind myself to keep a lookout for size 1 gear... Chace has got two bottom teeth and two top teeth now, soo cute, loves to bite stuff... got a bit of grizzling with the top ones this time, but not too bad...

Tracy: hope work's going well mate, will you get good Christmas hours?

Well nachos have just been wafted under my nose so have to go... epic pg moment today, got very dizzy at myer (thank god was with DH) and ended up testing out the strength (or waterproofness rather) of a Post Tough Bag... as I had to hurl in the car on the way home...... FYI, waterproof, with slight leak... ew.... ah... 27 weeks tomorrow, flying past huh!

Love you's

Hi Everyone,

This will have to be a very quick post. Sorry for lack of personals.

I arrived home Sat arvo and we had a Baptism on Sunday so it has been busy busy. Oh and I came home and it looked like my DH has been living the bachelor life  There is so much to do... It looked like he had done no housework at all lol... Oh well. So on top of that have two essays I need completed by Christmas :tree: Oh Christmas has come way too fast.

Just a quick update on Ayla. Ayla is now really quick on the floor, but still comando crawling. She is also trying to pull herself up on things but has yet to get on her feet. Bought Airwrap for her cot and seems to be working well... though the other day she hit her head on the bars.

Anyway better go.

I miss talking to everyone. I hope you're all well. How are our token pregnant ladies?

G'day - token pregnant lady doing well here... nearly 28 weeks!

Really feeling round and pg and just happy... sleep is getting more tiresome...uh, if that makes any sense :p... sex is out the window, which is a shame, just dont bloody feel like it... DH is taking it like man, poor guy... Even if I try and "make an effort" in that dept, I just never feel up to it...

Was naughty and nabbed some bum genious nappies off a US website - usually they're not allowed to ship to Australia but this website did - I got 8 nappies, including postage they worked out to be $21 each, as opposed to $38 each in Australia :yelclap:... they're just so cheap over there! Got another nappy coming from Nic (WOO!) and another from itti bitti, their new range... how's all our cloth bum mummies going?

it's 35 degrees here today, but I'm at work in the nice air con, doing relatively little... :o... meh, I'm pregnant, leave me alone! Keep having vivid day dreams about having a girl.. we'll see huh, it'd be nice. DH is also getting very serious about not having any more babies after this... I'm almost there... ask me when I have a screaming colicky baby with a toddler LMAO! We'd just like to get our lives back on track now, rebuild our wonderful relationship - it has strong foundations, just has taken a hit this past year with the stress of new baby, (who's a dream) and DH's final year of uni, and a pregnancy... 2010 hopefully will be a good year...

Take care ladies... get back on here would you!

:santa: Hi Everyone,

Sorry, been a bit slack in the BH department. It wasn't intentional, just that nobody else was writing so I didn't want to be the only sad sack keep writing to myself!

Not much to report that you don't already know on FB. Our house is still progressing but might now be put back a bit due to DH deciding at the 11th hour he might want it shifted (grrrrr ). They literally had the cement and bricks ready to go....not really but it sounds good!

Had our tax return quoted today (should be in the account in a couple of weeks) which I'm pleased to say is gonna make Chrissie a little bit easier for us - I'm off to buy loads of pretties now!

I'm loving the MCN's and am surprised about how easy it is to keep on top of the washing. I'm also coping remarkably well with the whole poo situation (although I suppose I've never been screamish about that sort of thing).

Not sure if you remember but O was taking a while to get into the whole lumpy textured food - he's now devouring it so I think it was just when he was ready rather than when the 'experts' tell me he's ready. It's all on O's terms :D.

Also, the being able to sit up from laying down thing. He literally did that just after I wrote on BH, the cheeky monkey!

BF - can you please message me the name of that website? Now we have the tax.......!

WO - lovely to hear from you. I'm so pleased you had a good time. Ayla looked gorgeous in her baptism dress.

Nicki - news??????? Come on, don't keep us in suspense!

Shell - how're you feeling now? Hope you're feeling a bit better. I'm sure Edward helped!

Bootiful - love the new name!!!!!

Sharne - what's news? Haven't heard from you in a while. Are you and Marley OK?

Tracy - how's the house going? I think you have the upper hand now. Damn my DH! Countdown to seeing Mum - yay!

:xmas: Because I can!

I want to put my christmas tree up - must resist, must resist :tree:

Not too much going on here, touch wood for once both kids are asleep at the same time, doesnt happen that often.
Im tryin to get a proper routine going with everything, kids n all, housework etc.
im also hopin by cuttin jaydens morning nap to 45 min max he will hopefully sleep longer in the afternoon, wont be too tired at bedtime and sleep longer in the morning, hopefully i can get ben to sleep longer than 5.30am, i think it will do everyone the world of good.

Im actually startin to feel pretty exhausted every day, leven worse than when i was pregnant, so its either something medical, or just a catch up of the last 10 months.

Wow you saved quite a bit on nappies! I'm still going strong with my TT :dizzy:... not! Ayla hates getting her nappy changed so it takes me FOREVER to change her as there is so much fiddling with TT...

Have you been to the Doctor? Hope you're feeling better.

Hope everyone else is well.

Hello Everyone

WO - If you look really closely (and I mean get out the magnifying glass) you might just see a pregnant shot of Didi at a wedding - the fact that she has a better body than I've ever imagined at 20-odd weeks pregnant, I can understand why it didn't register in your brain!!!! LOL. Jealous? Moi? If it's any consolation too, O is being a pickle at nappy change too - he does this kind of high pitched screaming business and is beginning to struggle against it being put on. I put it down to the fact that he has discovered a little toy (!!!) which appears to disappear when a nappy is put on but evidently it is an age thing and not the fact that he's a boy! How's Ayla now? Is she feeling better? Is it teeth? Hope she's better today. Big hugs from us to her :hugs:

Tracy - how are those boys going? Is the shortened sleep in the mornings making any difference? I find O sleeps longer in the mornings than the afternoon at the moment. I won't try and shorten it at the moment cause this is the time I get all my housework done (and FB and BH!).

Getting all mushy and reflective on you now I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for a great year. I never thought I'd be one of those people who made friends on an internet forum but here I am with people I regard as a great bunch of women who I dearly wished lived next door! Thank you for all of the advice, laughs, tears, frustrations and pleasures we have all shared together - you're a great bunch. :smiliedance:

Thanks Brum, Ayla is better now. I'm not sure what was wrong... I think whatever it was she has fought it off. Oh and the nappy thing... it just must be age hey?

Hello! :santa:Whats going on??
As most of you know Ayla has been a little sick, but she is getting much better now - thank goodness. I still think her teeth may be causing her pain. She keeps grabbing her ear, so I might take her to the Doctors to get a check.

I have Ayla booked into child care next year for Jan. I'm so scared to leave her! She will go for two days a week while I do work experience (which I'm really scared about too).

As of a few days ago Ayla is now going from the ground to sitting up and now pulls herself up... she is growing so fast!

Thats about it.

Busy busy still doing assignments and filling out forms for Ayla's care and my work experience - today I will go and apply for a criminal record check.

Hope everyone is well. I miss reading what everyone is doing. I don't like to say too much on my status updates on FB.

Anyhoo, got to go.

P.S. How are you Nicki any news?

Hi, I'm still here, been lazy - sorry! I would love to use the excuse that I'm busy with Christmas but that would be a complete lie considering all presies have been got and all I have to do food wise to buy a couple of chickens and go around a friends house.

Hope everyone is well.

Not much news from us. O continues to commando crawl and after a small attempt at proper crawling has decided that sort of hard work can wait. He doesn't pull himself up on furniture yet (although he tries to pull himself up on me if I'm sat on the floor with him) and looks nowhere near to walking - famous last words I'm sure.

O has had a few problems with teeth in the last few days - he's off his food a fair bit and we have had some very bad nappies - 2 explosions for the first time in months! I felt terrible the other day when I came back from feeding the dogs and O was finger painting with his own sh1t on the tiles :laughing: Where is the video camera when you need it???!!!!

I have made the first steps towards getting enrolled in uni next year - I have to apply before Feb. I'll be doing a post grad course in primary teaching and I have been told I can take up to 4 years to complete it which is great cause I can do correspondence part time for the vast majority.

The house is progressing slowly - DH is out this weekend cutting the house pad (trying to save ourselves so money) after we got the go-ahead to move the house a bit on the block (7m so not really 'a bit').

Question for you guys - O's birthday is on a Thursday next year but we are having a party on the Sat - do I do two cakes or one just for the party? Is anyone making their baby a 'healthy' cake or giving them a 'treat' considering it is just one day???

WO - hope Ayla is feeling a bit better now.

Bootiful - hope you're having fun with the family. I'm sure you're pretty busy.

Cords - how did DD party go? Have you had it yet?

EF - hope you're having fun with DH home. Did 'Sailor' have a good journey?

Nicki - come on girl - spill the beans!!!!

Hi to everyone else.

Hi Lufflies:wave:

See what happens...i dont post & you guys cant stop :ecomcity:....and then as soon as i post....BAM! You all dissapear on me...it's the pink undies isnt it??

All good here, DH is home (THANK GOD!) after nearly 5 weeks away....the time actually went pretty quick this trip, but non the less i am VERY pleased he is home, as is Poppy.

Poppy is well, crawling, standing up, walking around holding onto furniture...Brum, dont worry, POppy has been commando crawling since 7ish months & has only NOW started to crawl properly....and even then she still prefers to commando...i reckon its easier than being on their knees. We have tiles so thought maybe it hurt her knees???

She has all of a sudden become a sponge....taking everything in & copying it. She meows like the cat now, says "uh oh" and when you say "OH NO!" she puts her hands on her head
You cant shut her up....i suppose that was bound to happen with her being female. Its always "mumumumum, dadadadadad, meeeoooowwwww"

We are heading off down to the Sunshine Coast on Tuesday for Christmas. We wont be back in Cairns until 4th Jan. We cant wait! Its going to be a great 1st Christmas for Poppy with Josh's huge family & also my Mum & Step Dad are flying in too from Adelaide so im super excited!

We are having Poppy's 1st Birthday & Naming Day on her actual Birthday, it's a Tuesday but most people have that week off in between CHristmas & New years.
We are having a Butterfly theme, at Josh's Mum & Dad's property in the Hinterland & the Naming Ceremony in her Secret Garden:cloud9:
There will be butterflies hanging everywhere & lots of fairy dust & all things magical...we are even doing a real butterfly release!

Oh & Im going to meet the wonderful Kirsten & her lovely family.....cant wait for that!

To answer your question Brum, I am having a cake made...it's actually a Cup Cake Tower with 40 cupcakes topped with butterflies & then a 5inch small cake in the top....
Poppy will try something naughty for the first time!!!! Just have to make sure they dont eat too much, my friends son ended up projectile vomiting for hours after his 1st Birthday:laughing:

What are everyone else's plans for Christmas & Birthdays? Can you believe they are going to be one???
I sat & read through our Dec Thread from last year & all the announcements...i got all teary thinking how fast this past year has gone....amazing...

Hope you are all well....hugs for all....
:hugs:

I did healthy cakes (using orange juice and cream cheese - no sugar) for DD's birthday and they were GROSS!!! :P This year, I'm doing a caterpillar chocolate ripple cake so I'm happy to give Daniel a touch of that and let him mess his face up for a great photo.

rosy tea party this arvo - its' going to be 37 here!! so we're going to stuffed in my tiny house. (so much for making the garden all nice for the lovely rosy tea garden party!!) very nervous because I'm trying kid games for the first time. yikes!!!!!

PS we're having both DD's and DS's birthday parties a few weeks from their birthdays so we'll just do a cheap something for their real birthday with family to acknowledge it but will be going all out at their parties.

you should see my dorothy cake!!!

us - just busy with the usuals.... daniel is pulling himself up and then taking his hands off - very exciting!

Is anyone's baby's walking yet??? they're all 11 months (or close to it now) AAHHH!!!!!!

Hi Cord! Good to hear from you... glad you're listening to me lol.

Wow Daniel is doing real well! Ayla has just started standing up, she seems pretty pleased with herself lol. Today she even did one hand, then got wobbly and back to two - oh they're so cute aren't they?!!

Hi, I'm still here, been lazy - sorry! .

tsk tsk tsk yes very lazy... nah you're not, you just a have a life... unlike me who is on here :o 24-7 lol.

Not much news from us. O continues to commando crawl and after a small attempt at proper crawling has decided that sort of hard work can wait. He doesn't pull himself up on furniture yet (although he tries to pull himself up on me if I'm sat on the floor with him) and looks nowhere near to walking - famous last words I'm sure..

Brum, Ayla is the same. Commando crawling is just so easy lol. And Ayla has just in a matter of days started to pull herself up on things. I honestly thought she would never do it... well she showed me!

O has had a few problems with teeth in the last few days - he's off his food a fair bit and we have had some very bad nappies - 2 explosions for the first time in months! I felt terrible the other day when I came back from feeding the dogs and O was finger painting with his own sh1t on the tiles Where is the video camera when you need it???!!!!..

Is O on more formula and breastmilk? Usually a liquid diet does that... I'm not sure what that could be... Oh no! What a clean up!

I have made the first steps towards getting enrolled in uni next year - I have to apply before Feb. I'll be doing a post grad course in primary teaching and I have been told I can take up to 4 years to complete it which is great cause I can do correspondence part time for the vast majority.

 Thats fantastic Brum! I have been studying part time while looking after Ayla throughout the year and it is definitely doable!

the house is progressing slowly - DH is out this weekend cutting the house pad (trying to save ourselves so money) after we got the go-ahead to move the house a bit on the block (7m so not really 'a bit')..

I was wondering how everything is going. It will get there.

Question for you guys - O's birthday is on a Thursday next year but we are having a party on the Sat - do I do two cakes or one just for the party? Is anyone making their baby a 'healthy' cake or giving them a 'treat' considering it is just one day???)..

I would just do 1, but thats just me. I would make a healthy cake, I'm reluctant to give Ayla any sugar at all, but once again thats just me

WO - hope Ayla is feeling a bit better now.

She is thank you for thinking of us! Another tooth popped out and her cough is nearly gone.

Bootiful - hope you're having fun with the family. I'm sure you're pretty busy.

:iagree:Miss you Angel

Nicki - come on girl - spill the beans!!!!

Might have to send you a private msg on FB. I hope all is OK too.

All good here, DH is home (THANK GOD!) after nearly 5 weeks away....the time actually went pretty quick this trip, but non the less i am VERY pleased he is home, as is Poppy.

Thats fantastic news :) Good to hear from you!

i reckon its easier than being on their knees. We have tiles so thought maybe it hurt her knees???.

I don't think it should be too bad. You know you can buy knee pads and helmets? Haha cute that might work.

She has all of a sudden become a sponge....taking everything in & copying it. She meows like the cat now, says "uh oh" and when you say "OH NO!" she puts her hands on her head
You cant shut her up....i suppose that was bound to happen with her being female. Its always "mumumumum, dadadadadad, meeeoooowwwww" .

Thats so funny!

Well you have all made me feel rather bad... I have not planned ANYTHING for Ayla's first B'day... nothing  Oh well. I think we might have a small family gathering with a Woolworths cake... I can't believe our little bubs will be one!!! Where did the time go?? I couldn't imagine my life without Ayla :valentine:

Hope everyone else is well.

Love to Sharne, Shell, Fugly, Kaz, Sheree, Nicki, M2M, Didi oh go, MIW, Tracy xox and anyone else I forgot. Miss hearing from all of you!

Hi girls !

How is everyone going? So hard to believe our babies will be ONE soon!!!! Is Ashleigh the 1st one to celebrate her birthday?

Birthday cakes- Layla's birthday is on the Friday which is a day I work so I'm thinking of doing some mini cupcakes in the shape of a number 1 to send in to daycare for her to celebrate her birthday with her friends that day. She is one of the youngest and the rest in her class are toddlers so I'm sure it will be ok for them to eat as they'll just be mini's and fairly plain. Then her actual party is going to be on Sunday the 10th (to give me the saturday to prepare!) and we will do a proper birthday cake for that. NO WAY is it going to be healthy though!! :p It doesn't bother me because she eats so well every other day and if you can't have a treat on your birthday then when can you?! I am hiring a butterfly shaped cake tin and will decorate it with pretty coloured icing, lollies and that 'fairy dust' sprinkles you can get from woolworths. So excited to do be doing a girly cake this time!!

I can't remember much else that I've read so I'll just update on us :D

Layla is doing so well now, she still doesn't sleep through the night most nights but often just wakes for her dummy and the comfort of knowing I'm still there. We've had a few shockers of nights but I'm certain it's teeth. She is LOVING her food, we give her just about anything and everything as finger food and she is like Miss Piggy shoving it in her face  Such a lovely change from Mason who was so picky and would barely eat anything.

She is standing up on things now and has NO fear! Again, so different to Mason who was so cautious all the time. It's funny how 2 kids raised exactly the same can be SO different from each other- I guess it proves we really are all unique people with our own personalities even from the very beginning!

She has started saying words now. So far she can say Mummy, Daddy, Bub, Duck, Dog, Ta, No and will copy the dogs noises and will attempt to copy words. Very proud of our baby girl!

Mason is doing well, we believe we are on the other side of the terrible twos THANK THE LORD, but of course he still has his days. He has been so affectionate lately and I just love it so much :cloud9: He is still WAY behind in his speech and a few other developmental areas but we are in the process of getting a paedeatrician appointment to start investigating things further. A couple of people including his speech therapist have suggested he may have autism (would be VERY mild if he does) but I'm not convinced.... we'll see what happens though. Our main worry is that he won't be able to start prep in 2 years when he's meant to because we have been worried about his speech for 2 years now and have seen little improvement in that time, and the way he is at the moment there is no way in the world we could send him off to big school to fend for himself. He starts proper Kindergarten next year which will hopefully help and they are able to get funding for specialists (speech etc) to come and work one on one with him each day if he is diagnosed with anything. Such a rollercoaster of emotions when thinking about it all but at the end of the day we are so proud of him and love him so much no matter what!

Bub #3 is doing well, baking is almost at the halfway point now  I was saying to someone at work today that this time last year I only had one child and now I almost have THREE!! Scary but exciting! As some of you may have seen on FB I am MAYBE going to be able to have a waterbirth if things go smoothly. I had a very traumatic birth with Mason (VB but not exactly 'natural') and therefore chose to have a c/s with Layla. Now I am feeling less traumatised by Mason's birth and ready to face labour again and would love nothing more than to have a beautiful birth this time. Fingers crossed for me!! This is my last attempt at it and I know I can do it, I just need to stay confident and focused and have the right support people around me. My ob is amazing and I think that is going to make the world of difference

So anyway, that's whats news with us! I'm like everyone else with not having the time to reply to all the posts but I love reading everyones updates so thought I'd do one. As much as I love catching up on FB, it's not the same as there are certain things we can't share on there that we would share on here iykwim.
