Hi Cat,
Welcome to the Gold Coast. I'm new to the area too! I'm in Elanora which isn't too far away from Southport.
How are you getting settled? I hope you're not missing Sydney too much.
I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with my first, so unfortunatly no little playmate for your little one yet!
It'll be nice to hear how you find the area.

Hi,
Christine here from the outskirts of Oxenford. I am 30 and Thomas is about to turn 1 on 13th Feb.
Well now that Christmas is over, we should try and get together again! I think the Broadwater Park (opposite Australia Fair) was suggested last time as it is fairly easy to get to for most people (especially those without transport). If any one has any other suggestions, post them.
Otherwise, for those of us that are interested, post what your best days are and we can work from there. It would be great to meet some locals.
Look forward to hearing from you all soon :D

Hi I'm Rhonda... Thought this might be of interest to you... I run a non profit ladies social club on the gold coast, and live at Pacific Pines... We get togerther for Movie Nights (once a month) , Girls Night Out (once a month), Annual Girls weekend's away (which is in March), Social BBQ Days and special events (eg Car Rally's, Tupperware Parties etc...)... We also do morning teas and playgroups (for us mum's)... At the moment we head to Abrakadazzle every Wednesday fortnight, so the kids get a chance to run around and have some fun, and us mums get to chat and compare notes... If you want to know more email me at socialfriends@bigpond.com... It's a wonderful group of ladies and we would be more than happy to have new people to chat with...

How about Monday the 6th March? At the broadwater playground opposite Australia Fair? Say 11am? Tie a balloon to the push chairs so we stand out???

Hi
Is this get together still on? I live nearby and would love to meet up. Is there a contingency plan in case of rain ?(you can tell I'm Scottish!)
:D
Happy Birthday to Christian.
As far as I know everything is still on. I figured that if it does rain we can all just meet accross the road in Australia Fair. Isn't there a kids area up near the cinemas near Danoz Directions? Then we can all grab some coffee and watch the kiddies at play.
Just incase anyone has trouble finding people, my mobile number is 0418 18 28 33, or you can email me before using christineso@internode.on.net .
For those of you that don't know, parking is free for the first 4 hours at Australia Fair, and it is also free in the Broadwater Car Park.
Anyway, goodnight all. Look forward to seeing you all on Monday!:smiliedance::sleeping:
Ok, so here's the forcast for tomorrow's weather:
Sundayand Monday: Cloudy with scattered showers and local thunder, more isolated in the northwest. Showers easing overnight and becoming isolated on Monday. Isolated thunderstorms developing Monday afternoon.
What do we think? Should we meet indoors or out?
Hi Louise,
Sorry I didn't address your question in my post. The Broadwater Park is in Southport opposite Australia Fair Shopping Centre, on the Gold Coast Hwy. You can't miss the park, it's a huge fenced playground.
I have created a website with some directions for everyone:
http://www.freewebs.com/cmso/index.htm
Don't forget your balloons !:yelclap:
ps. please excuse spellings on the site, it's now 1.26 am and the brain isn't functioning properly anymore. Plus for some reason, it wasn't recognising paragraph spaces
Well it seems sunny enough, so let's make it the park! See you all there :smiliedance:
Bumma....
I missed the meet guys :crying:
My little man isn't feeling the best anyways..(runny nose again)!!
I will keep checking, and hopefully see you all at the next meet
Would love to meet you all,
I hope you all had a great time anyways..
Kel.....xx
Well it was really great to meet some new people today, geez I think I even got a bit sunburnt  and I was having so much fun I didn't even realise.
Thankfully the weather was absolutely perfect with a nice cool breeze coming of the water, what a beautiful day.
I can't wait to do it again - what do you reckon girls?
i have such a baby brain,i totally forgot bout the meet!!!wil come next time tho:D
Sounds great. Did you want to do it at the same place, or would you like to do it at one of the indoors play centres so that we don't have to worry about weather contingency plans? Otherwise, are there any other suggestions.
How about Monday 20th March at 11am again?
