I am new to this so I might not have all the lingo down pat! We are TTC (?) and my last period was 8th Sept, so I am about 3 weeks late. Have been off the pill for about 6 months and all previous periods since going off the pill have been normal. I was counting my cycle and was normally about 31 days. Have done numerous urine tests and a blood test - all negative. Have been reading about women who only had their pregnancy detected with an ultrasound. Have also been experiencing food aversions, on & off cramping for last month and starting to get sore breasts. Also noticing darkening and larger nipples. Am wary these symptoms may be manifestations of but a friend also commented on my skin glowing the other day so not just me. Does anyone have similar exp? The blood test was done when I was only 1 week late. Am confused and getting anxious which wouldnt be good for the baby if I was pregnant.
yay welcome! i'm not an expert but i've read a heap of stuff and it could be pregnancy- but i think the only thing to do would be to get an ultrasound if nothing else is giving you answers. my partner is about a week late for her period and it's driving me nuts cos all the pee tests are coming up negative but she's been having cramping and nausea on and off.
there is a thread explaining most of the abbreviations if you go to view all forum discussions it's near the top. it took me a while to figure out this website but it's worth it.
:fingerscrossed: for you!

I would just do another home test now, and if u are still uncertain ask for another blood test, it should def show up now if you are pregnant. If not i'd say you just aren't. I've never heard of a pregnancy not being picked up by a blood or urine test given that enough time has passed for the HCG levels to get to a certain point- all the tests are unlikely to be wrong! But maybe u tested too early. If that's the case and u are incubating as we speak don't worry too much about the effect of stress, it is something many many newly pregnant women experience and babies are pretty well insulated against negative effects from it.
