Can anyone else see the smoke coming from belgrave area this afternoon? Looks pretty nasty and after the thunder we had just before I'm wondering if this could be a result.

Cannot find anything online so thought maybe one of you awesome ladies might know more.

TIA

I know it needs to be done, so i'm glad they are taking it seriously this year and trying to get in before a problem occurs.

I agree, pity they can't warn us a bit more though, even DD freaked out seeing it this afternoon.

Hey guys, I'm in Belgrave Heights, about 200 metres from where the Birdsland fire stopped and turned last year... (so scary.... so, so scary...) and after being evacuated last summer I freaked out driving back from Narre North this afternoon... Didn't smell smokey or anything but looked like the bushfire that got me evacuated last year... I think it was a mixture of smog/last minute burning off...

I would be totally up for a texting thing as last year I only realised there was a fire because my next door neighbour who was also pregnant ran to my house and told me she thought we both ought to leave... 2 minutes later all roads out of my area were blocked...

Count me in - maybe we could get some PM's happening, as I think this year it will be harder to know what to do with a little bubba... at least last year everywhere I went she went!!!
