Silly question here. When you ovulate - what is the biggest space before or after that you can have sex and be successful ???

So, if I ovulated on a Tuesday - when is the soonest and lastest to start "trying".

Cheers. the day of ovulation is the last day that is very likely, maybe a day or so after just to make sure, incase you got your day wrong, but the best time is a few days before O, and on O day.

Ok - this is what I know. Your egg can live for up to 24 hours but your partners sperm can live for 72 hours in fertile mucus (sorry - TMI). So, if you ovulated on Tuesday it would be good for you to BD 1 or 2 days before ovulation (Sunday, Monday) to have the sperm "lying in wait", during ovulation for optimum chances (Tuesday), and you can BD a little while after too (early Wednesday) but those sperm need to really swim to catch the egg before it is too late.

I think a lot of people BD every second day around the time of O to optimise their chances knowing there is about a 2-3 day window of opportunity.
