Thought it might be easier to do our own thread so we arnt hijacking the normal thread.

Sorry i had to cancel on you guys today, Andrew ended up with it this morning so had to keep him home. Seems to only last a few hours though cause i have been ok for the last hour.

There seems to be more south siders so do one of you girls want to organise one over there for next week maybe? I dont really know that side so wouldnt know where to have it.

I can do anyday but friday next week.
Might be worth doing a roll call on who is in brissy with real names and mobile numbers maybe? just so a group txt can be sent if things change cause of weather ect...

So if you want to send me you user name with real name and number i will wait till everyone replies and then send the list to everyone.

I am keen to do fortnightly/monthly meets and dont mind travelling so If you girls on the sth side want to organise the place to met I will be there:)

I am at Redbank Plains which is out near Ipswich, so I will wait and see which suburb everyone else is in first.

I'm a bit of a girl about driving to the southside :o don't mind going to roma st parklands, though (just haven't been feeling sociable this week)... I'm good for monday, tuesday or thursday (from nxt wk, only have my niece home on wednesdays, can handle caiden and nat together...)... if anyone on the northside wants to meet even more mummas and bubbas my other mums group meets on wednesdays - we're meeting at kallangur nxt wk... you've got my number ;)

I live on the bayside in the Redlands. I don't mind alternating between the north and south. I find getting into the city a bit of a hastle with the parking and expense. As a one off its alright tho.

bAam - Glad to hear you are feeling better. I ended up going into town to meet up with work mates and Willow was a screaming tyrant and fed every 2 hours so I'm glad it was put off today.

Great idea Baam.....I have private messaged you with my details.

I live on the southside at Calamvale (near Sunnybank for those that don't know this suburb).

I am not too keen on going too far out on the northside at present. Ruby doesn't really like car trips that are longer than 30 minutes. I am hoping she gets over this as the IL's live on the northside.

I have been trying to think of some more ideas on places to go. What about Carindale or Garden City shopping centres on the southside. They both have good outdoor cafe areas that we could book a table and park ourselves there for a coffee and a catch up. Plus I think both centres have Mums rooms (I know Garden City does) for those that don't like the public breast feed.

I realise that this option might not be best for those of you with other little kiddies. Now this next idea might sound a little tacky, but I thought it might suit all families. What about McDonalds that has a McCafe.....I thought it is a casual environment and might cater for the Mummies with other kiddies as there is usually a playground.

Anyway, just a few ideas from me. I really do look forward to meeting you all, I haven't made it to 1 of the catch ups yet!!!

but i'm keen for the next meet - I am on the southside - Mount Gravatt East.

As for a central meet up - what about New Farm Park? there is free parking there and sort of central?

I feel so slack cos I can't make it again on Thursday, my friend is coming over to show me her Thermomix & is making us Mango Sorbet - YUM!!! Anyway I try to make plans for Tues & Thurs as DS1 is not at Kindy so I try to keep busy & I have been getting into the habit of making plans the week before.
