Who is sick to death of High School Musical.:banghead:

Those of you who have Foxtel will well and truly know what I'm talking about!:barf:

Apparently it sold out when it came out on DVD on Thursday, and now they're selling for a fortune on eBay. A friend of mine bought a copy off a lady who had already purchased a copy (and paid double, nearly $70)

My kids have taken over the TV over the holidays especially with the rainy days we have been having,so all i hear all day is Dora The Explorer or the Simpsons or Whatever it is they are watching..:o so i tend to tune out and not hear

It IS a great movie, but so over advertised. As with things that kids watch, the overkill is overkilling me. If I have to hear one more song :barf:

Its VERY VERY over advertised.

It is a nice movie. But honestly.. the ad is played every 20 minutes... without fail..all day :banghead:

Its gotten to the point where i know most of the songs by heart

Okay I am soooo over it. The movie was fine, but does there have to be advertisements for it every ad break? Theres also a dance along and sing along versions of the program...then they are playing the songs all the time.
Wheres my shotgun!

my niece's basketball coach is using some of the stuff out of the movie because the girls pay more attention to it than the drills she was trying to get them to run before. (13 year olds...)

Oh God. I found myself singing one of the songs today in the car.

And, on the weekend, I went looking all over the place for the DVD so that my 2 year old could watch his fave part of the movie.

Am I a High School Musical convert?

You'll be pleased to know that it's now gone from the Disney Channel over to Movie One (gee the pay tv people are sneaky aren't they). Now to view it you have to pay (cos we don't get the movie channels). I won't be though, I just bought it for DD11 for her 12th birthday in a couple of weeks and didn't pay exxy for it ($22 from Big W).

I loved it, I'd prefer them to be walking around singing those songs than the **** they call Top 10 nowadays. Shakira for example, 'hip's don't lie???', don't get me wrong the song is good, but not something I want my DD9 and DD11 parading around town doing the dance moves to.

We gave it to DD1 (8 yrs) as a reward (won't get into details). I like it, (except that the songs get stuck in your head:devil6: ).
There's no kissing, no boobs hanging out, no gyrating hips, and no Christina Aguilira (sp?) . It's got a positive storyline, might be a bit 'over the top', but big deal!

I might be getting tired of hearing the songs over and over, but I'd rather her watch that than Video Hits, which is teaching girls that being a s**t is ok, and boys think it's cool to be a pimp. :shame:
