I'm sure a midwife or CHN mentioned once a formula (maths variety) that you could use to work out how much formula (dindins variety) you should be feeding.

I think it was something like 100 -150ml per kilo of bodyweight per day, ie, if baby is 4kilos then 400 to 600 ml per day. Does that sound right/familiar to anyone?

I just feed babykins as much as he likes and the formula would just be a rough guide anyway, but I just wanted to know he was getting roughly what he should be.

ALSO, on not very related note but out of curiosity, what does the GOLD in Gold varieties of formula mean? At first I just thought it was meant to imply a premium product, but is there an actual reason for the name?

Firstly the formula inwas given was weight in kilos x 120mls divided by how many feeds per day.

And the gold indicates added stuff such as prebiotics, fish oil etc and some studies indicate it may be beneficial for brain development.
