Cleaning lady rates?

Just wondering how much you pay your cleaning lady per hour if you use one?

$25 :yes: I know people pay varying amounts between $15 and $25, but I'd rather pay $25 and have them show up consistently.

I used to clean houses and got $25 per hour with cleaning supplied by the owner. i know some do it the other way round with the cleaner providing the cleaning materials.

I charge $60ph and supply all my own brooms, mops, bucket, clothes and cleaning fluids

I don't pay per hour. I had a couple of companies quote and I pay $50 per week. Our current cleaners are very good and consistent. They turn up same time every week and clean to the same standard every week (something to watch). Sometimes if I want an extra big clean we come to an agreement for extra.

I'm paying $22 an hour for 6 hours and I supply all the gear (except she uses her own vacuum, doesn't like mine :laughing:).

How many hours do they take for each job, can they come for say 2 ?

How do you go about having strangers in your house to clean, are you home when its done?
Do they do a good job as good as you'd do yourself?

What do they do each time they clean?

Lots of questions haha but Just sussing out experiences in it and if i'd be able to feel comfortable with them in my home.

Also are the cleaners from a good company or are some a 1 man band?

mum also supplies the cleaning clothes, windex etc- they supply mops and vaccums

an averagr house normally is a 4 hour job- with smaller houses being 2 hours:):):)

Do they do a good job as good as you'd do yourself? alot of mums clients now trust her and just leave her the key, others with kids are sometimes at home- totally up top you:) and how well you know the cleaner. (mums beenw ith some of her clients for 3 years)

What do they do each time they clean? its totally up to what you want- normally bathrooms, mopping, vaccuming, dusting, cleaning up general clutter just organising it, kitfchen if you want up to you:):)

Also are the cleaners from a good company or are some a 1 man band? mum used to go through absolute domestics which she found to be a good company. although she dropped the company as she didnt want to pay them some of her pay each week anymore and the clients were happy to stay with her without the agency

so theres some cleaners that just do it privatly also ones with agencies.
