Hi there Monica, I too am also curious to know if anyone has had their bubs yet? I thought I was in luck yesterday, started getting back pain every 10 or so minutes and my brother and sis in law arrived and hubby and I thought it would be nice to take a drive up the coast to take my mind off the pain ( I am about 45 minutes from Mooloolabah, Sunshine Coast), I think we got as far as Landsborough which is about halfway, when I decided I just can't do it, all the way home my contractions were getting closer and stronger, I got home, went to the toilet and within minutes they had dulled off, I had rung the hospital and they said it could go on for weeks, bummer... Got more today, but not for long... Have a feeling the midwife was right, grrr... Only 2 weeks to go... Figured 2 weeks is better than 10, 20 etc  Anyway, take it easy, hope you don't have to wait much longer, If you think you are ready, try 6-8 drops clary sage to a bath, I have heard this really works... Some don't like the smell, I actually don't mind it... I add a couple of drops of lavender to ease the smell, It is also good for when you get your period back if you suffer from period pain... Haana :)

Hi mums,
No news from this mum I'm afraid. Only the strong and slightly painful BH. Last two nights they have woken me from my sleep. So I am burning the Clary Sage oil, drinking raspberry leaf tea and staying as upright as possible. I am due in 4 days!! I know I won't be pregnant forever but I really don't want to be induced due to being overdue.
Like you Monica, my partner is telling bub they can exit whenever they are ready now.

Hi Mumofmash, The naturopath reccomends bathing in the clary sage and also massaging directly onto your tummy (needs to be blended with a carrier oil), This method apparently works if you are ripe and ready to go... The naturopath also reccomended drinking raspberry leaf tea like it's water...All worth a try, I hated being 12 days over... luckily I escaped the inducing a day before my appointment... :) Hope this helps

Thanks for that, I had already pre-blended some massage oil which I wanted to use in labour. It has lavender and clary sage, may as well start using it now if your naturopath recommends it. Good con for the partner I feel. As for the raspberry leaf tea, I feel like I am drinking plenty of it. Hope it all helps!! Thanks heaps for that!! :D I really don't want to be over.
Bub has been a little quieter over the past two days. Hoping its because we are storing energy to enter the world. But sometimes you can't help but be a little worried, sure all is ok though. I will speak to my midwife tonight.

Hiya,
I thought we were all for go yesterday :). I went for a good walk and came home with some cramping type pains, then had a nice hot bath with my DD which made the pains get stronger but not much after getting out of the bath the pains all stopped. :(
I went for a check up today and we decided because of some mild blood pressure issues that unless DS comes by himself (due tomorrow), that I will be induced on thursday.
I feel a bit odd about it, our DD came spontaneously 2 days early and we were expecting something similar with this one, but he is just too comfortable!
I am hoping the induction goes quickly, and the gel works , I don't look forward to hanging around the labour ward for hours waiting for something to happen, although it is nice to know now that we will be doing something instead of all this waiting around the house in limbo ( I have already cleaned everything and organised everything!)
I hope you all are OK and things get moving soon!
Take care
Monica

Hi everyone,
Well I was due in August, but would like to let you all know that my wonderful daughter Mackenzie Louise arrived on the 29th of July.......
Due to high blood presure (PE) and baby distress I had an emergancy C-section...
so I was so pleased they got her out before it was too late...she was very very small at only 1990 grams (4 pounds 6)....3 weeks early however she was only the size of a 33 week baby.....
We sent 7 days in hospital and have now been home almost a week!!! doing very well, and she is growing rapidly...which is nice to see!!!
Hope everyone else is going well...and I wish you all the very best for your labour!!!
good Luck
Marilyn and Mackenzie!!! :D

Congrats Marilyn on the arrival of Mackenzie Louise!!
Glad to hear that despite her early arrival and small size that you are both now home and doing well!!! I really hope it continues.
As an August mum to be that is having a caesar next week (4 more sleeps to go!!) - how are you going from that perspective? - any pain/discomfort now?
Good luck with it and enjoy being a new mum!! Welcome hugs to Mackenzie too!! Zenifa:)

Congrats to you and your family Marilyn... i love the name (I also have a daughter, Mackenzie Grace). Hope you are all doing well.
I myself would like to announce the safe arrival of Charlee Rose on the 11th August, by c-section. She weighed in at 5lbs 1oz, 45cm long, with a 33cm head. Small considering she was 39 weeks, but because i had a fair bit of bleeding in the first trimester, it apparently scarred the placenta and umbilical cord and so she wasn't receiving as much food as she should have been. All is well though, she has no health problems, she's just VERY, VERY LITTLE!! I can't believe how small she is, compared to my first who was 8lbs 1/2oz. Mackenzie thinks she is a little doll and is trying to help me out in every way possible...happy families so far, until Charlee starts demanding more of my time!!
Anyway, i hope to see more birth posts soon, good luck to everybody who is still waiting! :)

Congratulations Shannon!!!
Glad your little one has arrived safely!!!
Sounds like there are quite a few of us that hve had c-sections.....I have healed up really well, still a little sore about an inch above the scar....they say that it is all the insides healing and the stiches etc.....but I am out and about and up and around...and driving the car.....
I wish everyone else luck and look forward to hearing some more birth stories!!!

Congratulations on the arrival of Charlee Rose!!
I was thinking of you both on the 11th and glad to hear that she has arrived and all is well. Sounds like your daughter is very similar to mine. Romilly Jade arrived at 13.55hrs on 16/8/5 via c-section and weighed 2.83 kg or 6lbs 4oz, 49 cm long and head circumference is 33.5cm - very little and petite, but perfectly formed and healthy!! I will message you very soon, off for another feed, Zenifa
