What does your child do when they throw a tantrum?

My bub holds his breath and kicks his legs.

DS - usually just sulks & he's 10  . DD has just started to throw tanty's as we call them & she doesn't cry or crack it she just has the really annoying whingey, groany sound that goes on & on until you distract it or do what she eventually wants - double:rolleyes: ;)

oh Blessed mum, mine is the same, and that whinge is SO HARD to ignore!
Though i have to say when we are out, 99% of the time she is an angel, so shouldn't complain

DD used to do lots of crying and stomping feet when she was 2 and 3. She threw a huge hissy fit recently, I'd said "yes but this is all you're getting" (water for her mud play) when she asked for more I said no, she ran around the backyard screaming at the top of her lungs for about 10 minutes. :(

He does this funny thing where he looks like he is screaming but he makes no sound and he will go all red and kick his legs and throw his arms around and then after about 30 seconds of the noiseless screaming he will let out an almighty scream. He will do this for up to 20 minutes if he doesnt get what he wants  Its really funny to watch.

I have a lovely little boy who screams, cries, throws himself to the floor flails about & he also head butts the floor or if he is close to a wall he walks over to it & headbutts that.
Want him ????????

ds is 14.5 months and so far tantrums are just him going red in the face, crying and getting angry.
his tantrums can be over:
*bathtime
*DP being in ds's way lol
*having to go home from nan's lol
they last about 2 mins. but i hear they get worse.

DD is a screamer. She has an amazing scale - she can go to ear shattering.

Well we fall to the floor but really slowly so he doesn't hurt his head then kick scream etc.... we just walk away as we can't talk to him over all his screaming LOL!!!!

Master 4 crosses his arms, stares me straight in the eye and firmly states

"I'm not happy with you right now!" before lifting his head into the air and marching off in a very exaggerated manner.

2 years ago it was full on cartoon style belly flops to the floor to cry, with the odd fist and feet stomp. He's always been fairly stubborn, so ignoring them didn't work.

Once we started copying him it only took 2 or 3 'mummy tantrums' and he stopped throwing them. I do the same thing to friends and families kids too, it's the funniest thing to see the look on their faces when an adult screams and stomps as well. :D
