Hi
Instead of buying a specific night nappy, I bought some BBH bamboo boosters to boost my bumgenius pockets for overnight.
For the last week or so I've been filling the pocket with 2 of the Bumgenius microfibre inserts and 1 BBH bamboo booster. It was working a treat, no leaks, no problems, until early this morning when DS did a poo.
He doesn't often poo overnight, and this wasn't a particularily big one, but apparently (DH discovered it) it just shot straight out one of the legs of the nappy.
I think the problem in that the pocket is so full that it is making the legs not as fitted as they usually would be.
So I'm thinking tonight I might try just 1 microfibre insert and 2 BBH bamboo boosters, still looks a little bulky, but maybe not quite as much.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

He is 10kg so already on the largest size in the OSFM pocket.
The other nappys that I have are:
Haute Pockets, Bumgenius sized AIO's, and BBH Magicalls.
Thanks:D

I think you're on the right track - you just need to cut down on the bulk and using the thinner bamboo boosters should do it.

Another booster I use in my BG's is the Issy Bear booster. It's big but very squidgy, and highly absorbent. I think you might be able to buy them without the nappies.

you could try a bamboo terry tri-fold? the bamboo terry is thiner.

not sure what the BBH booster is like -is it a tri-fold?

but your definately on the right track!
:fingerscrossed: for tonight

I use BG OSFM for both my boys as night nappies. I boost them with one BG microfibre and one thinner microfiber and a bamboo trifold. I also throw a wool cover over just in case. No leeks yet!

Thanks guys!
No leaks last night :smiliedance:

But also no poo's, so not sure if it would have contained it.
The BBH bamboo is a tri-fold (sorry, wasn't sure what to call it). I'm thinking of trying just 3 bamboo tri-folds, and no microfibre, but might wait until I've washed the bamboo's a few more times, I'm not convinced that I've reached maximum absorbency yet.

THat's what I have resorted to: BG OSFM with three bamboo trifolds, no microfibre, plus a wool soaker over the top just in case. This works MOST of the time for my heavy-wetting tummy-sleeping boy. Not 100% of the time, but mostly.
Good luck!

The little bug has nappy rash :(!
I'm hoping it isn't due to my night nappying, but I think it might be.
He also just got his first 2 teeth, and seems to have more on the way, so I'm hoping that it is connected to that.

I think I read somewhere that the bamboo doesn't draw the urine away as quickly as the microfibre, is this right? Last night I wrapped the microfibre in a bamboo trifold, so perhaps the urine stayed in contact with his skin too much and caused nappy rash
Maybe because my bamboo's haven't been washed enough yet?

:hair: He's back in a disposable tonight....

have you tried putting a microfleece liner in the nappy next to his skin, and then you can slather on some nappy rash cream without ruining the nappy. works for us. I find he does get a bit red overnight without a liner and some Am-o-lin.
