My poor Ellie

Poor Ellie hasn't been able to keep anything down since around 6pm last night:( I rang 13HEALTH around 9 last night and they were great.The nurse called an ambulance who took us to the hospital, to make sure she was ok.It looks like either a tummy bug or the start of an ear infection:confused:

She woke up around 7am (after 2 hrs sleep) and seemed really good so DH gave her a bottle and she still didn't keep that down, so now I'm only giving her water and a little of the hydrolate ice-blocks.

Has anyone ever heard of vomiting being a pre-symptom of an ear infection??

Not that im a child but ive had a really bad ear infection which started like the full on flu with aches & pains, temp & vomitting ... Then it all dissappeared & i was left with this horrible pain & no hearing :crying:

Thanks allyoo, I'd just never heard of it before.She was perfect all day yesterday, then all of a sudden violent vomiting so it spooked me a fair bit.

I can only imagine !!!!!
But if she doesnt get better or the vomiting gets worse i would take her back to hospy ! They can get worse unfortunately but you seemed to catch it early which is good !
Hopefully she does get better now especially if she is acting more like her normal self thats a good sign !

yes vomiting isa pre-symptom of an ear infection i just looked it up

My best friends son was vomiting before he got diagnosed with an ear-infection.

Thanks everyone, she's just gone to sleep so I'm hoping she gets some good rest this time.I tried looking it up too, but couldn't find anywhere that said vomiting was a symptom.

As I said, she was perfect yesterday up until around 6.Oh well, :fingerscrossed: she's over the worst of it.She hasn't been sick again for a few hours but she hasn't had anything apart from sips of water.
