Implanon!!!!

Ok I have read so many different things on implanon and the horrid side effects etc during and after removal....

I had mine removed on the 19th of September and had what seemed like a normal period start on the 22nd of September.... (which I thought was awsome in the process of TTC)

Going on what my periods were like before implanon I was due for a period again on the 22 of October... We of course TTC...

All tests have come back :bfn: but I still havent got my period.... I have had the back ache etc and felt like i was going to get it but didnt....

Has anyone else experienced this, since all the tests have been negative, I am getting slightly upset that AF hasnt arrived (I know I never thought I would want AF to arrive!!!! but if i'm not pregnant I cant really expect to be able to try again without it lol)

Sorry to :ecomcity::ecomcity::ecomcity::ecomcity: soo much I think I am really just venting.... Any comments/advice would be helpful

I had the implant on and off since I was 17.

This year while I had it my period stopped for 2 months so I took it out.

It took another 2 months for my period to return and now I am 8 weeks pregnant.

Everyone is different I heard you can go to the doctor and get some kind of injection to help you ovulate?

I think the best thing you can do is talk to your doctor.

I had Implanon for 6 years (so 2 x rounds), during which time I did not get AF at all. I had it out on the 9th of April 09 and AF did not show until May 18th.

No luck for us on the TTC front so far. :fingerscrossed: I don't have too wait much longer though.

So hang in there, for some women it does take a while for things to go back to normal.

Hello, I ended up getting a false positive about a week and half after I was due but than af turned up. I don't know if it was a very early mc or if it was a faulty test, but good news is now that af has turned up we can try again this month. I think it must take everyone different times to come back to normal, although they do say that u don't have to have a period to be pregnant after it is taken out, ie u may just catch the egg on its first release, so if u start getting any preg symptoms have a test. Let me know how it goes :)

I'm similar to ILovePink - I had implanon for 6 years and had perhaps 2 periods during that time.

Implanon has now been out since March and we haven't had any luck yet. My cycle was odd coming off it - regular (28 days) for the first 2 cycles, then I was 4 days late, then a week late, and now its gone back to 28 days. Bit frustrating really :o

About 2 weeks after i had it out i swore i thought i was pregnant.. my hormones went crazy.. the doctors couldn't give me any advice.. I waited 10 weeks to get my first period.. I went thought a lot of pregnancy test in those 10 weeks.. I was a bit annoyed cause all the doctor said it only takes 48 hours to come out of your system.. really strange :rolleyes: but hopefully everything works out for you hun :hugs:

Hi, I saw this and thought I would share in case anyone in the future is wondering.

I had Implanon for 2.5 years. I got it out in March. I had some spotting ever two weeks or so unit August but I do not think I was ovulating or having a full AF.

My last spotting was in August and still no AF to date. We have been TTC since I got it out in March with no luck.

But very strangely, I got a Maybe Baby this month, and so far I have had Ferns two weekends in a row.... I don't know if it has something to do with leftover hormones from the implant??? Has anyone else expiereinced this?

Hi ladies just an update with me well af has not shown up yet but i have been charting my cycle since i has the implanon removed because i had af while i got it removed.
At the moment FF says i am 3dpo and will see what happens from here. I will keep you updated good luck ladies.
