Is this Mastitis??

My boobie hurts!!:laughing:

My right breast is really sore on the right hand side. I can't see any red marks or feel any lumps but it really hurts, especially when bub is feeding.

What can I do??

It sounds like a blocked duct more than mastitis right now.

Favour feeding from that breast. Put the bubs jaw closest to the painful part (ie feed twin style) as that will make baby draw more from that part of the breast.

Warm face washers to help get the blockage freed. You can apply an electric razor (or other unmentionable vibrating device :D ) to the area to see if that will get it moving. A hot shower while trying to express that breast, might move the blockage too.

If you feel flu like symptoms, its progressing to mastitis. I'd personally try to see a doctor tonight if at all possible, because it can progress to mastitis with frightening speed in my experience.
