Hey guys,

Im really frustrated because nothing is happening. Its been 56 days since the beginning of my last cycle and Im lost. After sorting everything through with dp, and going to see councelling and going back on meds for a while with pnd (although we were trying for 6 months before pnd and makes me think that had something to do with it)anyway, we're finally ready to move forward. The only problem being is im not o, and my cycles are extremely long, irregular and painful when they do come.

We're losing hope of giving our boy a playmate! The last doctor i went to was a d^*k and wont do or refer me to anything because im "only" 24. For starters i would like to know if i have anything that inhibites o or pg, but he wouldn't even do that. Im getting frustrated that nobody will help me, and pawns me off just because im too nice. How do i put my foot down??

Have a look into Traditional Chinese Medicine!

I am getting acupuncture and taking herbs and the first month, it has given me a perfect textbook 28 day cycle.

Do some searching and you will see plenty of success stories!

worth a try I think :)

hi noahmischiefsmum:wave:

Im 24 as well and have a 21mth old. We have been ttc for 7mths now with no success (i fell 1st cycle off the pill with dd). similarly my cycles are irregular and can vary from being rediculously light to very painful and 32-48days in length. basically i have a very supportive doctor who considered my irregular period to be unusual and sent me off for tests (bloods and ultrasound). results showed mild polycystic ovaries and that i was ovulating later than cd 21 (anything after cd 20 is considered 2 late).

Currently on my last natural cycle before i start clomid and dtd every day to try get me pregnant before i start down the assisted conception path.

:ecomcity:anyway...i would suggest getting yourself a new doctor who takes your concerns seriously (i find female doctors to be particularly helpful) and if you find any resistance basically demand a referal for bloods and ultrasound. You can still be nice AND assertive about your concerns.

Basically there is never 2 young an age to have fertility problems and to me your cycle is definatley not normal. My doctor basically thinks i was VERY lucky to get the timing right last time when trying for dd. She also said that regardless of peoples previous beliefs dont wait till 12mths ttc before getting tests done cause you could just be wasting a whole lot of time before having another lil bub. At the end of the day its not about the time ttc or age but how NORMAL you suspect your cycle to be (considering this is the be all and end all in a womans ttc journey).

hope this helped a little:o

goodluck and let us know how you go:)
