Any bubs crawling yet??

DD is nearly there, she will be 6 months next week.

So funny to watch though, she nearly gets up on her knees, but hasn't figured out how to get up on her hands at the same time and vise versa. She almost did it this morning.

Nah not here. He's great at pushing himself up and sliding backwards though! Hahaha...
He's kind of go up on his knees a couple of times.

Yes... and now he's pulling himself up on things and getting 'stuck' cos he can't work out how to get back down to the floor!!

I'm trying to work out that fine line of saving him vs letting him work it out for himself. Eg he crawled to the door earlier and I could see he was going to go onto the portico, which involved going down a step... and I could see he would crash on the way... so I let him go, and he crashed! But then he did it again and was successful the second time. So I guess it's just a matter of letting go and letting him have his bumps along the way, even though it's hard to watch. All I want to do is run in there and save him from the inevitable!!

DS has been able to slide backwards for a little while but in the last week he has been getting up on his hands and knees and rocking, this has been happening more and more every day and every time he does it he lasts longer than the last time, so I think crawling will probably be a couple of weeks away.

This is exactly what Zane is doing, its so funny to watch. DD is trying to help him learn, which is driving me crazy as he is nose diving more than ever.

Wow! Dd's not even close to crawling! She's rolling around but even then she's happy on her mat and I don't have a lot of problems leaving her (except for the time she rolled and found my icecream wrapper and was having a good time sucking on it )

Not even close.

A & J can do the forwards commando wriggle, they've all just mastered the "throw your bum in the air & turn in a circle" move
Im not expecting them to crawl till feb next year.

Yeah, the longer it takes the better really. Once they are off thats it!

Id really like them to crawl before Feb just to know they arent developmentally delayed. Ill just take it as it comes.

DD has been getting on her knees for short periods of time for a while now... quite a while. She's rolling from back to front and she now gers up on her hands and looks like she's about to commando crawl, but so far so good. Good because I don't want her to crawl yet!!!!!
DS didn't crawl properly until after he walked. It was awesome.

Kian was hilarious yesterday. I popped him on the floor and was trying to put him on his tummy, but he put his feet down. So he was sort of crouched like a frog. The look on his face was priceless, he didn't want to rock forward cause he knew he'd dive forward onto his face, but he couldn't work out how to put his legs out either. Eventually he just collapsed and grizzled. Very, very funny!

My son has only just turned 6 months old!!! He hated to be on his tummy until a couple of weeks ago when he learnt to roll over!! Maybe he will start to learn to crawl now he doesnt mind being on his tummy??? He does try to pick his bum up and he does push up on his hands but he doesnt go anywhere!!!! Maybe in a couple of months!!! :)
I am not worried about my son not crawling just yet though because at a mums group i go to a baby was 1 year old and wasnt even crawling!!!!

Kian is now up and about and moving round in his own fashion. He was great at going back wards for a couple of weeks which produced a lot of frustrated screaming as he backed himself into corners. But now he's worked out a way of going forward which is quite fascinating to watch. He gets up on one knee and then stretches out his other leg and uses his foot to push forwards. He also uses the roll back onto his bum as a device for turning himself round. Bizarre, but then I'd expect nothing else from the progeny of my hubby...

Our little man pushes up on his arms, and gets up on his knees, just not at the same time. He is comando crawling though. He is pulling himself around on the floor. We have to keep an eye on him now because he moves around so much!
