Pains worse

Hi

I am having pains that at first were just mild but now getting progressively worse but lasting only for a few seconds, the pain is like a bad period cramp and also i can feel where my baby is located because it gets really heavy all of a sudden then stops.. and everything feels fine again:confused:

Do you guys think that it's just braxton hicks?

Is it common to miscarry at 18 weeks?

It does sound like Braxton Hicks to me. If you are really concerned, call the hospital and ask the midwives.

I would have thought it was a bit early for BH - especially if this is your first pregnancy. It could be just ligaments relaxing - which can be quite painful.

Not common to miscarry at 18 weeks. Not unheard of of course, but no, not common.

I had Braxton Hicks from about 12 weeks. Sounds normal, but get it checked out. You will feel better after being reassured.

it does sound like BH, but I would go get it checked out just to be on the safe side

They sound like BH's to me too. I had them every 10mins for 7mths straight with my last one. Rather painful too. :( My GP said that if you have them a lot, it makes your labour easier.
