View Full Version : My Amazing Cloth Nappy Bargain!

This morning I went to a 2nd hand Kids Stuff Market and got 1 Fluffy Bubs minky nappy and 2 Mini Lala nappies for $5.00 each :smiliedance:

They look like they have never been worn - maybe never even washed because the inserts are very soft. I think the Mini Lala ones are from the most recent stocking because I saw the the same designs in one of the local baby shops about 2 weeks ago - I was so close to buying one at the time but couldn't quite justify $37.00 for one nappy.

Felt a tiny bit guilty because I'm sure the seller had no idea about their real value, but am so :D to have picked up such a great bargain.

Anyway, just had to come in and share my good news with people who appreciate my excitement!

i have no doubt that the minilalas that u got are the new prints , but just thought id add that they no longer do "stockings" as such because now the nappies are produced overseas (so mass production rather than made at home) so yep:yes: it would be the same print u could now buy instore or online :yelclap:

Have just been looking online - the Fluffy Bubs is the pink/lime/black paisley and the the Mini Lala are Candy Damask and Dandelion Fields.

They are on the line drying as we speak - will take some pictures tomorrow. Still can't quite believe my luck. I'm guessing that they may have been given as a present because if the seller had paid for them herself she would know how much they are worth. Even if they had been $10 each I would have thought I had got a great bargain, but $5 just seems unbelievable!

have u tryed either of those brands before ??
did the seller only have those 3 naps ?? :)hehehe??

Wow that is an awesome find! I agree, the person who sold them must not know how much they're really worth (ie presents!)!

Yes, thats what I thought especially as they seem like quite recent ones. If I'm given a pressie I don't like I hang onto it for a little while just in case I get asked about it!!!

Will take some pictures when I get a chance - my oldest DD is in hospital at the moment so everything is in limbo. DH is doing the night shift so I've got a bit of time at home to catch up on everything, including nappy snapping which is a job I find really relaxing especially after the stress of hospital. People think I'm weird when I say I'm going to go home a sort out my nappies!!!

I was just thinking about how awesome your bargain was and how I'd like to see pics. I really do hope that the nappies weren't a present given to her by one of our fellow BH clothies...
